Description

For sale is a very clean survivor 1986 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Brougham sedan. Currently the car has 133. 01 miles on it. Car is optioned well with luxuries of 1986. The AM/FM cassette stereo was replaced by the previous owner with a Alpine CD player unit. I have the original stereo in my possession. I purchased the car almost 2 years ago from a woman in western Colorado. It sat for 6 years under a carport as she had purchased another vehicle to drive. When I purchased the car is wasn't running. I replaced the battery. wiper blades. hood struts. fuel tank. fuel filter. fuel pump. spark plugs. spark plug wires. serpentine belt. fuel lines. power window switch. wire wheel covers. tires and 4-wheel alignment. I have done some clean-up. but it wasn't bad overall. It could stand to have the seats and carpet shampooed. The headliner is in need of replacement as it is sagging. There haven't been any tacks punched into the board so I'm told the replacement is less expensive. I recently got a quote for $375 for the headliner and to recover the A-pillars. Someone along the way took the catalytic converter out and put a piece of straight pipe in its place. Needless to say the exhaust is slightly louder than it would be otherwise. If you live in an area that requires emissions for a vehicle of this age. a catalytic converter will need to be installed. It will also need the radiator replaced as the tank on the passenger side does have a leak. Also. done by a previous owner. the transmission has been rebuilt. All of the spare tire items are present and the trunk liner is in good condition. The vinyl top is in very good original condition. as is the paint. The clear coat has gone foggy on the mirrors and the tops of the bumpers. Otherwise. the paint has nice shine for its age and looks very presentable. There are a few dents and dings. but nothing major. The car appears to be from the Algonquin. Ill area originally. that being said there is some minor rust where the outer door skin meets the inner door on 2 of the doors. Underneath the car looks good. but I haven't crawled over it with great detail. The car runs very well. although I've only driven it about 400 miles in the past year and a half. I have done some interstate driving with it and it will cruise at 70-75 with ease. The air conditioning is still R-12 (needs converted or recharged) and the compressor will kick on when the climate control is turned on. Heat works well and the baffles in the dash work as designed. $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of vehicle sale. No scammers. Please don't bid on the car if you don't plan on purchasing it. Title will be sent when final funds clear all banks. Transport of the car is buyers responsibility. Please email with questions or additional photos. Thank you for looking!
