'79 Hurst/Olds cutlass Calais. Car is ready for restoration. Found this rare classic parked out next to a barn and had to rescue it. Not many of these 79s were made. It is a 350 engine car. black and gold paint. gold interior. original Hurst edition castaluminum 14" rims. Has the Hurst dual gate shifter. as seen in pictures her time in the weeds took a toll but nothing is too far gone in my opinion. it does have a few rust spots. interior is pretty well shot. It was a mouse hotel for many years (and they had fun). and the left rear corner took a good hit at some point. floors are NOT rusted through nor feel soft. Frame has some rust. Engine turns over fine with only 40ft lbs of torque at the crank. Car was originally parked due to a bad water pump back in the 90s and hasn't seen the road since. This does not run nor drive. The steering works and tires hold air for a few days. it moves easy. Shifter works. thats all I know of it. Too rare of a car to scrap. All i have done to it is sprayed some oil on a few parts to loosen things up and put on some wore out tires on the front to help move it around. also i did take a shop vac to the interior to clean it up a bit. but its far from clean!! Although it will never again be an all original car. it can be correct with matching H/O VIN on the title!! I can assist with shipping at buyers expense. (in other words you send a carrier I can help load) or I can haul for fee as well within reasonable distance. ***it was brought to my attention that the header panel and grills are not correct to this car. upon closer inspection it appears the header was replaced at some point with the 78 style header***
