NICE 1971 VOLVO 1800e RARE AUTOMATIC MODEL

I bought this 1971 Volvo 1800e two door fuel injected automatic coupe almost nine years ago via eBay from an older couple down in the Carolinas. They bought it from Volvo guru Don Theibault some years earlier and said it was their daily driver. At 6'-2" I've outgrown it. First thing I had to have done was a re-welding of the support beams by a reputable shop. otherwise it could have become a Flintstone mobile. The car ran great when I first bought it and I put a few hundred miles on it over the years. but I've had my daily driver Honda. The Volvo often went neglected despite all my big dreams to restore it to near-mint condition. I just hadn't the time. A new battery was put in one year ago. and I installed a new cassette/radio player as well. The clock doesn't work. the odometer is stuck at 100. 00 miles. and the dashboard light is dim and can use a new bulb. I replaced the rubber molding around the trunk and was about to do the same with the side windows when I gave up; no time! The driver's inside door panel was removed to add molding to the window gliders (which I never finished). however that door panel is in the trunk. Four tires are good and there's a spare in the trunk. All the window glass is great. no cracks or chips and complete. The heater works and. if you want air. open the window; there's no air conditioner in this sports car. This car really caught a lot of eyes when I had it on the road. Every week I've run the car for 5 to 10 minutes and once a month I've taken it for a quick loop around the block. Starts up every time. Saddest damage is the big dent on front driver's side. result of a hit and run driver. There's also some chips in the finish. some paint fading on the trunk. and some former bondo repair under the paint as shown in my photos. Under the driver side door there is peeling paint. This car can use new seatbelts and cushioning straps for backseat if you want to squeeze someone back there. But otherwise this is a clean and running car and should not be construed as a parts car. Additional parts. new and NOS. will be thrown in. as well as owners manual. service manual. etc. A little time. a little love. and all eyes will be on you.
