Description

KELLISON STALLION CUSTOM BUILT FOR LYNDA CARTER aka "WONDER WOMAN"This is not a Kit/Replica Car! These cars were manufactured. This was the best eBay category option available. This car is number 2 of 117 cars built by Jim Kellison. owner of Silver Classic Coachcraft. in Lincoln. CA. Kellison manufactured the Stallions from 1976 - 1980. The car was custom ordered for Lynda Carter. by her then husband Ron Samuels. Mr. Samuels requested the car be built without side pipes to prevent the chance of his wife. Lynda Carter aka Wonder Woman. burning her legs. Her car was also built to include the $5. 00. 00 Rolls Royce Connelly leather upgrade. The car had a retail selling price of $55. 00. 00. per Jim Kellison. It is reported years later Ron Samuels sold the car for $92. 00. 00. Here are 2 websites with pictures of Wonder Woman's car before delivery and Kellison press release (because of eBay policy disallowing clickable links. you will need to copy & paste into your browser):kellisonpage3. homestead. com/WonderWomanamazing-amazon. us/stalprelNot long after purchasing the car. I had the pleasure of speaking to Jim Kellison on the phone. He confirmed to me. according to the VIN. I did indeed have Wonder Woman's car. According to the VIN this is a 1978. The title indicates the year 1979 STAL. Apparently. it is common for a car to be built in one year and titled in the next. The car was originally emerald green. At some point in time the car was painted red. Evidence of the original emerald green paint can be found under the leather dash pad. A previous owner replaced the Stallion emblems with Cobra emblems - BIG mistake! I do have trunk and hood "replica" Stallion emblems. This is the only Stallion built by Jim Kellison with a small block Ford engine. It has real spoke wheels and new tires. This car is a fun ride. a real eyecatcher. lots of power. It has a soft top. although I have never driven with the top on. why in the world would anyone want to do that? Ha I have owned the car for 18 years. It has always been covered and garaged. There are only a handful of the 117 Kellison Stallions still around and known to be road worthy. This by far is the most famous!!!Thank you for looking.
