Monza/Anza dual exhaust system. 4-speed transmission with new clutch/flywheel system that works perfectly. new wiring just used to make sure all systems are working well. very extensive mechanical work completed for top driving abilities. all gauges work as set in the extremely nice wood dash. fluids just checked. has a serious uprated radio/cd system. paint and body Lines are FANTASTIC. magnet honestly sticks everywhere. especially known areas for rust – spare tire well and battery tray area. both areas are solid. original steel painted stock wheels with new 205/70R/15 radial tires. trim rings and factory center caps are part of the package. outstanding solid underchassis with both frame and floors in great condition. great file of history comes with the car. /p> Note: these restored TR6’s are really coming into their own as a fun. good power and easy to maintain sports car convertible. the AUTOWEEK article of August 18. 2014 features these cars. their quote of “good examples have a fantastic fun-to-dollar ratio” and “parts support is outstanding” sums up their status today. please read the attached (LINK). nbsp; History: this is really a top top driven show car with superb mechanicals with excellent performance with a very strong engine. came out of California from records in file. been in Atlanta for many years. note the Triumph factory books. Triumph Handbook and Owner’s Workshop Manual that come with the package (LINK). has full setup of great suspension with terrific alignment. this a really lovely fully restored 1973 TR6 that has a great file of North Georgia initial work. then Fraser Dante’s British mechanic worked on the car (LINK) to make this perform to top standards. then sold to a meticulous Atlanta car guy who then continued the process with the final build with notes below of what has been accomplished. then maintained and detailed again as ready Summer 2015. great file of receipts and maintained showing the care and attention. beautiful chrome bumpers. these very solid and unmolested TR6s really drive exceptionally well as at a dry weight of only 2280 lbs. this is really great fun to drive and presents very well. nbsp; Note that these great TR6 cars were made famous and raced in the USA by “Kas" Kastner on the West Coast. today he is still looked upon as the must read for any enthusiast preparing his Triumph for competition. he wrote “Triumph Preparation Handbook. Historical and Technical Guide for Triumph Cars” and other works. the most famous of all wasGroup 44 Racing with Bob Tullius with Group 44. his car is today campaigned by Bill Warner. the Founder of The Amelia Island Concours. it will be racing in August 2014 at the Monterey Classic Car Grand Prix as one of the special invited cars (LINK). these great 6 cylinder cars are just terrific to drive. very easy to get parts for and are climbing in value. /p> ENGINE: very strong and detailed engine. the engine features the excellent 2. 5 liter straight 6 cylinder. strong torque lbs with 2. 94” bore and 3. 74” stroke. according to the initial restorer. (LINK). better than stock with very even compression of 151 to 158 lbs in a dry cold reading to confirm (LINK). this strong and very smooth engine was rebuilt before the additional work performed at Fraser Dante. new throttle bushings and new linkage connected to the brand new dual Stromberg SU HS6/1 3/4" Carburetors and fresh linkage that now increased flow of fuel to cylinder head. performance will benefit from these 1/4" larger bore than standard carbs. has a new heat shield. this new carb setup with installation was $1280 itself. uprated Pertronix electronic ignition yielding really spirited performance. with the history of the stock 7. 5:1 compression that is surely higher today all makes this easy to use with today’s gas. the engine sounds ‘crisp’ when driving. the Anza or Monza (not sure) performance dual chrome splitter exhaust system adds sounds and power. with these upgrades. the horsepower is better than stock yielding a sports car easy to drive. /p> The 4-speed transmission really shifts and works perfectly. will ‘sing’ along smoothly at 65 mph and is as factory without the overdrive. correct shifter and linkage. for optimum performance this has a brand new clutch system with machined flywheel just installed to yield a smooth takeoff. Running condition: new wiring just installed on the really second restoration and updating just completed. the headlights and brake lights work fine in the road test. all the brakes are new new with front calipers and pads along with the master cylinder. they have just been checked with the on the rack checking to insure strong operation. the suspension is tight and tracks extremely well. the radiator has just been checked for fresh coolant and other fluids in the car. newer sway bar kit and end link bushings. road test to confirm proper performance. solid underchassis (LINK). /p> Interior: has the very nice recently new Tan Cognac interior throughout. side panels. dual safety belts. all the gauges work well. proper and nice wood dash. the carpet kit is very nice. working gauges. safety belts. has a very expensive uprated radio system with rear trunk mounted amp and base. new floor mats with British flag logo just installed. note the JC power radio/head unit with Memphis car audio. 8” subwoofer in trunk. see LINK. or specifics. has a very nice black vinyl softtop. /p> SUMMARY: this is completed for Driven Show with really a gorgeous body and paint condition. the full tune and fresh fluids. full spare and jack. has a great uprated sound system. this top mechanical and final detail finished for Summer 2015 for the enjoyable mountain drive. go the British car day show. go to dinner and enjoy driving this terrific sports car. many receipts document work through the yearsA CLASSIC BRITISH SPORTS CAR THAT IS SET TO BE DRIVEN ON A BRITISH CAR DAY SHOW AND RALLEY!1973 TRIUMPH TR6 IN GREAT CONDITION!
