You are viewing a very rare 1963 Triumph TR4 "garage find" example. Being offered at "Low Reserve". Very solid early production example. Becoming a very rare collectible model with values on the rise. Vin #: CT5565L Body #: 4395CTEngine #: CT5668ETransmission: 4 Speed with factory overdriveColor: Red (originally white)Title: Clear "Michigan" TitleMileage: 57. 63 (actual miles unknown) I will be adding more pictures within the next few days. The Triumph has been garage stored and used sparingly for many years. It had undergone a repaint and color change back in the day and is pretty much a survivor example. It has been off the road for the last few years. Includes the original owner's manual in excellent condition. Under the hood the "Triumph" is pretty much all original except for the air filters. It has a newer battery and it is still a positive ground system as it left the factory. Charging system works fine and never any issues with the battery going flat. The engine starts easily and shows strong oil pressure at idle. The engine doesn't have any smoking issues and the exhaust is quiet. As with most SU carbs. they could use some expert tuning. Has a replacement electric fuel pump. The transmission shifts fine in all gears. and the clutch works fine including the hydraulics. The throwout bearing is a bit noisy however as stated the clutch seems fine. As noted in the included owner's manual the lever on the left side of the steering column is to engage the factory overdrive. I have not had it on the freeway to get it up to speed to try it out. therefore I cannot confirm whether it is in working condition. Brakes work good with good pedal pressure. Both the clutch and brake hydraulics were gone through a few years ago. It does have the typical leaks for a vintage British car. The interior is in excellent condition. Both seats were recently redone with correct TR4 seat kits. New seat tracks were also installed. At the same time a correct carpet kit was installed. The door panels are in good original condition. Both windows winders work as they should as well as both of the interior door handles. Will need some attention to the electrics including the temp gauge and gas gauge. Wipers and heater fan not working - always driven on sunny days. so never an issue. Has wooden "Triumph" shift knob. Dashboard wood shows some weathering but still looks good. Radio currently not wired up. Fitted with seat belts for both seats. The Body is extremely solid including the frame. The Triumph was originally White from the factory and was repainted Red many years ago. Unfortunately the repaint did not hold up very well with many spots where the painted lifted/chipped including some large spots on the hood. I'm guessing some poor prep work. but not really sure. Some of the spots were touched up to protect and preserve as best as possible. The most notable rust is the driver's side rocker panel. The passenger side has an older home repair as shown in the pictures. Other misc. spots as would be expected. The inner rocker panels and underside/floors are all solid as shown in the underside pictures. Lower front fenders and rear quarter panels in good condition without any rust issues. Fender seams in good condition without typical rust issues. Front and rear bumpers and grille in good original condition. Once again. frame is in excellent condition. Convertible top is in excellent condition with a near perfect rear window. Always stored with the top up. Convertible top frame in good condition and operates properly. The vintage alloy wheels are in excellent condition. Spare is a steel wheel. This would be the perfect car to do a light refresh and leave the cosmetics as is. It would make the perfect weekend driver with just the right amount of "old school" patina. The Triumph is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied.
