Description

You are bidding on a classic International Harvester L-110 pickup truck from 1950.This truck is in very good condition for it's age,and would make a great daily driver,or an ideal candidate for a restoration.I had planned on the latter, but just have too many projects in the works. Here are the details:

I purchased the truck from the second owner, and the truck lived its entire life in Texas. As a result, the body & frame are rock solid, with no rot on any of the panels(or floorboards),and the frame just has surface rust with no issues. The previous owner did an "amateur restoration" on it around 12 years ago,and the paint looks good from around 12 feet away. There are some areas of surface rust, scratches, scuffs here & there(see pics),but nothing that indicates previous rust issues,as all panels are straight & solid. There was a massive rear bumper bolted to the bed & rear fenders, but that was removed & discarded.

The interior looks good, with what appears to be a very nice reupholstering of the stock bench front seat, and seat belts were added at that time.A new rubber floor mat was also installed, and all gauges, lights work as they should. The vacuum assist wipers are not working, but I have not messed with them.

The truck fires right up easily, and the "Silver Jubilee" straight six engine runs strong, and comes down off its choke setting in a few minutes. The Carter downdraft would definitely benefit from a rebuild, and I have the rebuild kit that will go with the truck.I also have the original owners/operator manual as well. The 3-speed manual column shift transmission, shifts easily with no issues.

The brakes need tended to,as they are pretty weak, and I assume the replacement of some lines or wheel cylinders are in order.I would definitely trailer it home as I cannot vouch for the road worthiness of the brakes.Emergency brake works fine.

The tires appear to be brand new,as there is plenty of tread, and the original hubcaps & wheels look great.I have the state of Texas title in the previous owner's name, and it is signed off,and ready to roll.

Overall,a really cool truck in need of some TLC if you want to make it a "driver",or a complete restoration depending on what your plans are. These first year L-Series trucks are hard to find in this condition, especially in the short bed versions.Has a great "1950s style" at a fraction of the price of a comparable Ford or Chevy from that era.Fair "Buy It Now" price,or feel free to shoot me an offer.

Please ask questions,as all sales are final.Winning bidder to pay a $500 Paypal deposit within 48 hours, and full payment due within 7 days.I can provide the name/number of the transport company I regularly use if needed, and I can hold onto the truck for a couple weeks if needed once full payment is made.
