"1979 Assembled" on the Michigan title, his convertible looks like a real Mercedes convertible from the 1920's. It was manufactured in detailed precision, ody parts separate and it "shows" very well !! It has an extremely heavy ply fiberglass body, custom frame, into running gear and will not "flap" in the wind like the newer, ighter fiberglass, ne mold version that I had a recent ride in, oes! The vinyl bucket seats and interior carpet have been restored/replaced, tainless side exhaust pipes replaced the flash coated ones! It has Model T side mirrors, ercedes symbol plates everywhere, n antique "railroad" clock, ucker of Tennessee wide whitewall tires, ewer brakes, iming belt, prings, hocks, tc.!! Hagerty Insurance Company's appraised, guaranteed replacement value", s $10,000.00!!!Always a very smooth and dependable touring auto, his car was driven daily for many summers, n road trips to Canada, outhern and Eastern U.S. and, f course, ll over Michigan, ntil I received two terminal medical diagnoses and suffered several disabilities (but survived, o far). She has never broke down, ever been towed and has never had any accidents!! This car was a "conversation starter" for many, any years; most of the 36 years I have owned her!! She has won many awards, ver the years, t car shows, articularly at the "Carnival of Cars", n Utica, ichigan!!! She's been a star at Woodward Dream Cruise too!!However, ecent rodent activity has damaged the electrical system and you'll see that the humidity (while in storage during my long illnesses) has caused some re-chroming issues!
