Hold on to your seat. you will never see another 1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series 5 this original. Last year. I purchased this Sunbeam from the original owner. Sometime in 1990 the engine was rebuilt. then put into storage with only 1. 00 miles on the rebuild. The compression test revealed 175 psi in all cylinders. It was stored in the high desert here in Southern California and has absolutely NO rust. Sixty percent of the paint is original. including the hardtop. trunk lid. hood. left door. left front fender. trunk compartment and engine compartment. It has never been in a major accident and the doors. hood and trunk lid fit exceptionally. The rear quarter panels. right door and part of the right front fender have been resprayed. The body has a few dings from being 48 years old. Whose body doesn't? A car is original only once. The hood and the trunk lid have old pin stripping that was applied in the late '60's. The original owner installed the extremely rare American Racing Silverstone magnesium wheels and Koni shocks back in the day. The American wheels even have the original lug nuts. which are very cool. which you never see. The Alpine was purchased from a dealership in Pasadena. Vincent Motors. where it was serviced. as the door jamb stickers can attest. not too mention the original license plate frame. Since I have owned this Alpine I have gone through the fuel system. including the fuel tanks. all hoses. rebuilt the carburetors and added a new mechanical fuel pump. I have gone through the cooling system. including flushing out the block. re-cored the radiator. installed a new water pump. cleaned & pressure tested the heater core. and installed a new heater valve. I have gone through the brakes. including rebuilding the front brake calipers with stainless steel pistons. cadmium plated the calipers. installed new rear wheel cylinders. replaced some of the hard lines and replaced all of the flex hoses. installed new pads and shoes. installed a new master cylinder and rebuilt the brake booster. I do not know the condition of the clutch. although I did replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Other items completed include. new Kumho 185 60R 13 tires. new rubber seals for the hardtop. windshield. doors. hood and trunk lid. New plexiglass windows for the hard top. New upholstery on the seats with new foam. and diaphragms. New console vinyl and new door panels. One thing the original owner did. that I wished he hadn't. was replacing the original steering wheel with a smaller Superior wheel. so his 6 foot frame could fit behind the wheel. No warranty expressed or implied. Payment due in 5 business days. Sorry no Pay Pal on this item. Shipping is the responsibility of the the buyer. regardless of what it may say in other places. Call me if you have any questions M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 661-254-6188. Please do not bid unless you are prepared to spend good money on a great Sunbeam Alpine. Because this Alpine is so original and with all the mechanical and cosmetic work done. it would be impossible do duplicate this car for less than $25. 00. Thank you for looking. Good luck.
