1980 Triumph TR7 Restored

Selling for an elderly couple that is not on ebay. Here is the write up directly from them. Ask questions. Only spot of rust is in rear tire compartment and it is minimal. 1980 Triumph TR7 Convertible. Driven 150 miles since complete engine rebuilt. My wife and I purchased and restored this TR7 because we really enjoy TR7's and this car was restored with intention of keeping it but due to moving. we no longer have a place to keep the car. We have invested over 2 ½ years and $6. 00 in parts alone on this restoration. I was in business for over 25 years restoring British cars. in addition to having over 8 years experience in rebuilding vintage race car engines and all other work required to maintain vintage race cars. Engine:Engine was completely rebuilt. Engine went to the area's best machine shop. Pistons were bored. Block and head checked for leaks; crankshaft was cut to size for new bearings and engine was balanced. Complete head job done with all new guides and valves. It has all new main bearings. rod bearings. wrist pins. pistons. oil pump. water pump. core plugs. timing chain. sprockets and and guides and everything else that comes along with rebuilding the engine -- nothing was spared. Carburetors:Carburetors were rebuilt. New clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing. Has new clutch master and slave cylinder. Entire brake system has been rebuilt. Has new brake master cylinder and a rebuilt vacuum assist unit. New rear axle brake cylinders. New brake shoes. New front rotors and new front brake pads. New front wheel bearings. New rear axle bearings and seals. Interior and exterior:Car was taken down to bare metal and sprayed with coat of rust inhibitive primer. All body and fender work and sanding was done. All Nason paint products were used. Painted Mustang Sterling Gray Metallic with three clear coats. Entire car was color sanded with 4. 00 grit sand paper. buffed and polished. Brand new convertible top. new carpets. new vinyl seat covers. near door panels and rear shelf carpet kit. Brand new rear panel. Suspension:Rear suspension has been totally rebuilt. New rear shocks.
