1961 Austin Healey 3000 Chassis
For your consideration is a 1961 Austin Healey BT7 Chassis which belonged to my father, long time collector and Austin Healey enthusiast, cquired 30+ years ago. I believe it to be a late MKII with the centershift gearbox. A bit dusty, his chassis has been sitting in the back of my father's shop since I was a kid, t came as part of a package deal along with another BT7 tri-carb and was found in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an original chassis and not a later replacement. Here is a good opportunity to replace the chassis of a rusted out BT7.
Condition:
This chassis is in very good original condition showing no signs of accidents, epair, nd NO rust. The geometry appears perfectly straight but I can not guarantee it's accuracy. Again, ll of the sheetmetal appears to be factory original, as all original welds, he frame rails are straight as are the outriggers and rockers. The floors are factory original and in great condition. The trunk sheet metal is the original and show no signs of corrosion. I encourage inspection and I will be happy to answer any and all questions.
NO VIN NUMBER or identifying Chassis Numbers are included in this auction.
Note:
I am in the process of downsizing a 40 year collection of Austin Healey cars and parts accumulated by my father. Primarily 100-4 and 3000 parts. Please feel free to contact me for parts including all sheet metal, oors, ngine, rans, hrouds, auges, earend, uspension, tc.
