1981 DMC Delorean
I'm not an expert on the car but I always wanted one. I purchased this Delorean in Florida about five years ago. It was not in running condition at the time. Its been sitting at my mechanics ever since. I had so many projects, his Delorean sat in the back burner until now. Throughout the years, y mechanic did manage to work on it here and there. The first thing he did was remove the fuel tank and bladder and cleaned it out thoroughly. This took a while. Next, n updated fuel pump and fuel sending unit from DMC Bonita Springs were installed (see pictures). New struts (DMC Bonita Springs) were installed for trunk lid, oth doors and hood. The engine was started, nd the pressure was good but it would not stay on for more than a few minutes. I'm not too sure what might be stopping it. My mechanic was about to remove the "bolt to the header" to investigate further when I stopped him and just decided to sell it.
There are no parts missing that I'm aware of. Yes, have the bottom cup of the steering column and those buttons in the center console. No rust damage or cracks on the glass. There are cracks on the dash.
I've always wanted to own one of these cars but I figure paying off my debts are more of a necessity for me right now.
If you have any questions, lease feel free to contact my mobile at 305.335.1638, ichael.
