Story behind this car:
This Cadillac was purchased new at our local Cadillac Dealership Burne Olds Cadillac, nc of Scranton PA by a local couple residing in Honesdale PA by the names of Diane and Jack.
The couple moved to Honesdale 19 years ago when Jack retired from his job with the telephone company in Long Island New York. Diane had obtained her drivers license in NY however never drove because she always used public transportation when she commuted from her own job in Manhattan, Y.
Jack already had an 1989 Cadillac Brougham when they moved to their 191-acre retirement property in Honesdale however in 1997 he bought a brand new 1997 Sedan deVille. Being the archetype conservative older type owner, ack continued to used the older Brougham to spare wear and tear on the new 1997 Cadillac - at least for the time being.
One day in the late summer of 2010, hile they were in Scranton on another matter, ack decided to pay a trip to the Cadillac dealer where this Vanilla Latte 2010 DTS Premium was on the showroom floor, hereupon they immediately fell in love with the color and the car and bought it on the spot. Records show this car was purchased on September 9, 010 with 7 miles at the time of purchase (9-9-10). As had been the case previously, he black 1997 DeVille now replaced the older Brougham for everyday driving with the new 2010 to be taken out on special occasions only.
Sadly Jack became seriously & terminally ill approx two years after purchasing the car and the car sat in the garage, overed, ntouched and unused, s Diane did not drive. Mileage on the car as of last Tuesday, ebruary 19, 016 stood at 806 miles. The extra 35 miles accumulation was as a result of driving the car from Honesdale PA to our Car Dealership in Eynon PA and will not be taken out again until sold. Mileage reading currently stands at 841. (Eight hundred forty-one and is absolutely correct) The car drives and performs just like it looks.
The 2010 DTS is identical to the 2011 which is the final year of DTS, he last of DeVille line. It was ultimately replaced by the smaller XTS in 2013 which was available in V-6 only.
