We are the second owners of our Porsche. We purchased it in 1976 and used it for many years as our second car. It has been in the dry climate of New Mexico since it was delivered new in Albuquerque. It has never had any rust and has been garaged inside since we have owned it. All of the mechanical components are original with the exception of the following: (1) the 4 speed transmission was changed to a 5 speed, 2) the cylinders were changed to 2.2 liter S-type, 3) the hydraulic timing chain tensioner was changed to a mechanical one. As can be seen in the photos, he front seats are not original. We still have the original front seats that are in good condition. The seat belts have been modernized to 3-point configuration. We do not have the original racing harness that came with the car. In 2008, he car was restored by stripping it to the frame cage and painting each component individually. All of the rubber components were replaced. The door and other interior side panels were renewed. When the stainless steel roll bar cover was removed, t revealed the original paint color which was matched. The original radio was sent to a specialty company that installed modern components. 2 of the photos show the only flaws: one is a small dent above the leading edge of the right door handle and the other is 2 small cracks in the right front seat insert. There is minor wear on the interior lining of the removable top. 1967 was the last year that cars could be sold in the U.S. without pollution control devices. Therefore, ur Porsche has excellent performance and is a lot of fun to drive.
