1988 Volkswagen Convertible Diesel Project TDI Car

I have a project car for sale. The body and interior is in great shape for the year. The pictures makes the paint look bad but it was taken after I washed it and should of wiped it off better. All it needs is a wax job. No body work needed. It is a Texas car and no rust.The inside windshield I should of also cleaned but all glass is good. I was going to install an early 1.9 TDI engine since the engine is bad in this car. It is in my hangar right now and I am building an apartment and I need the room.The car only has 83K on it. The TDI engine included is a 1.9. What is nice about this it is a mechanical TDI requiring no special electrics to operate the injector pump. All it needs is power to the pump which you can attached the wire from the ignition wire.It is a mechanical pump. The engine was operating when remove from its original car. Also included is a wire harness out of a diesel Golf which you can extract the wires for the glow plugs.I have 2 instrument clusters that are for a diesel. One with a tach the other with a clock. This car will have to trailered or if you have a tow dolly. All original. Tires and rims are excellent. This TDI engine is the simple one. It has the old style injectors that if you need to rebuild them they are cheap to do. The body of the car needs nothing done to it. Just a wax job. There is a couple of scratches just below the top on the rear panel and that is it.As I mentioned earlier you do not have to do any body work or paint. This would be an easy conversion. I did one of these on a Rabbit truck with no problem. I am going to the east coast in April and can deliver it to you but please send me a message before you bid so we can work out a fair price.
