I am selling my1965 Barracudadue to loss of my job. Car s located nearBirmingham Alabamaand it is almost completely done and is a really beautiful car. I took a very nice 273 4 speed car and used is to create a Formula S tribute to use all of the parts from my total basket case Formula S that was the donor car for many of the parts. I DID NOT change any vin plates or fender tags.
*99% Rust free car to start with, nly rust a small spot behind the drivers seat and there were a few small perforations in the outer quarter skin due to southern dirt roads as this was a Georgia/Alabama car it's whole life.
*painted Viper Red with matte black Barracuda Sport Stripe (correct dimension) and interior metals are painted to match
*All Black New Legendary interior
*New headliner
*New Visors
*All new ACC Carpet
*low mileage was showing on the odometer before restoration (~70K)
*correct 65 Formula S intake and Carter AFb
*NOS Formula S emblems
*Lots of NOS stuff under the hood
*Commando wrinkle finish valve covers (done by Leanna, he Mistress of Metal, ka cudachik)
*Commando chrome breather
*Commando chrome pcv and and oil filler cap
*two Original side view mirrors*NOS Formula S/Commando 273 resonator*NOS Carter AFB 3853S Carburetor
*Faux "original Green Cap" battery topper
*all trim is complete
*I can include the New Cragars and BFG's that have less than or I can include the original 14 inch wide rims with correct Formula S 14 inch wheel covers that are in really nice shape
*Standard 273 Engine, ot a true Commando engine, ut it ransstrong and uses no oil (donor car motor was locked up and was an auto) I have installed the correct 4bbl intake and Carter AFB
*I am including the Commando Sway Bar and Lower control arms with correct tabs. I didn't install them because the alignment was dead on and i don't want to mess with it yet.
*Car is registered in my name but since it is a Pre '75 Alabama car THERE IS NO TITLE, ill of sale only.
*I have sunk a lot of money and time into this project and I will never get all of that back.
*I was asking originally asking $18,500 but the buy it now is at $15K and the Reserve is below that! Car is for sale locally as well. I reserve the right to end the auction early.
1965 Plymouth Barracuda Tribute car (some call this a clone, ut in my opinion, lones are trying to fake a car that it is not). This car started as a solid southern 1965 Barracuda with very little rust or damage. Car has undergone an extensive restoration staying true to original as best as possible. In the process, incorporated parts from my basket case 1965 Formula S car (thus being a tribute car, .e. replacing a real car).
Car was completely disassembled and soda blasted. The minor rust in the passenger quarter (outer skin only) was repaired. all minor scrapes and dings were repaired and car was painted Viper red. All parts were restored or replaced in the assembly. Car runs and drives great.
There are a few things left to do to the car such as install rear shocks (included) and I would rebuild the front end as it still has the original. But I enjoy it just as it is and will possibly complete these projects this summer unless it sells.
Lots of NOS parts were incorporated and over 20K has been spent on this car.I am selling due to the fact that I am broke and underemployed and cannot meet my financial obligations with one child in college and one soon to go. My loss is your gain.
