Description |

1964 Sunbeam Tiger, atching numbers with original undisturbed rivets in place. This is a late 1964 Sunbeam Tiger. I have a clear NJ title. The car runs.
This 1964 Sunbeam Tiger SeriesI is a running project which retainsits original 260 cubic inch Ford V8, op loader 4-speed gearbox and Tiger rear end. This is a good restoration candidate. This is a late 1964 production example with theoriginal VIN plate intact. The car has a removable hardtop and an alternator conversion.
This Tiger is straight with agingpaint and some surfacerust. Color code is Moonstone, nly 200 cars in 1964 came in this color. There is no evidence of past collision damage and the bodywork remains solid overall with good gaps throughout. The worst rust is noted on the inside of the passenger’s side rocker.
The interior has no carpet or door panels. Instrumentation is complete. The seats are serviceable. The ammeter, il pressure, ach and fuel gauges work. All windows go up and down. A past owner repaired rust in the floors with various metal patches, hich can be seen in photos.
The engine is numbered2473 T1ZKA and is backed with a correct top loader gearbox and Tiger rear end numberM-64 1357. An alternator has been fitted. As mentioned, he car runs butwill need a major service and thorough inspection before being safe and roadworthy once again.
The rear of the X-brace is rusty. The pass through for exhaust is solid; the rear of the brace is rusted which is typical. I have the parts to make this repair.
This was to be made into a driver for this summer but I have too many projects and will not be able to get to this one as soon as hoped so it has to go. More photos available upon request.
