The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, ith its long hood and short deck, roved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators. It was initially introduced as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale the following year. Over the years it has become the favorite subject of many custom car builders and racers.
Finished in Nightmist Blue Metallic (paint code K), he paint job shows well. Both bumpers have a tight fit and great finish. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish with minor imperfections. The weather stripping is still very pliable with very little shrinkage or drying. The headlights and taillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks. While the original steel wheels showed well.
Inside the Mustang, he interior is in great overall conditions. The blue vinyl (code 22) interior bucket seats are in beautiful shape with no notable imperfections. Overall the dashboard looks great with the original equipment gauges the door panels and dashboard are matched perfectly with the exterior of the car and look fantastic. This nicely presented Mustang features a 289 V-8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor and 3-speed automatic transmission. Styled steel GT wheels and the rare GT Equipment Package Option which includes special GT badges and rocker panel stripes, ut also grille-mounted fog lights through the rear valance dual chrome-tipped tail pipe extensions and front disc brakes. The GT Equipment Package Option also includes the special handling package that provides stiffer front and rear springs, arger shock absorbers, arger front sway bar and faster steering.
