2003 Land Rover Discovery SE - Serviced, Rust Free, Clean Carfax, NO RESERVE!

I'm happy to offer for a sale this BEAUTIFUL color combination, OW MILE 2003 Discovery SE! It has been very well cared for and drives like a dream and looks absolutely stunning in Epsom Green over Alpaca Beige! Let's dive right in!

Background:

Let me begin with a little background. This gorgeous Rover was ordered as a very well appointed SE model which offered the big standard 4.6L engine and was adorned with many extras on top of the standard luxury. Aside from the dual zone climate control, ower windows, ocks, irrors, eats, tc, tc, tc, hat every Disco came standard with from the factory, he SE and this truck took it much further! The SE package added full leather seating, urled wood and alcantra accents, 8" Hurricane Wheels, og lights, ual sun roof, eadlamp washers, eated seats, olored coded steering wheel and much more. And those little details make a huge difference and make this truck go head to head with many more modern trucks! The cabin becomes increasingly warmer in feel and finish and steps up the details of luxury to a level not even seen in future generations of Land Rover. This was a very well optioned truck and quite expensive when new. This SE came out of the factory in a beautiful color combination: Epsom Green over Alpaca Beige Leather. It is truly in a BEAUTIFUL and CLASSIC color package.

This green beauty lives in sunny, ry, emperate Southern California since and is rust free!!!! It has only serviced by the Land Rover dealer in its history, s well as very respected independent Rover shops here in SoCal and started and driven often and serviced with dedication and care. It keeps getting better! Let's continue to the service!

The Condition and Service:

This truck has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained and serviced and is a high standard for Rover service!

Let's start on the engine and drivetrain:

This engine has great miles for the year (a normal average of about 9,600 a year), 26,000 miles appear on the odometer. It was driven and enjoyed as it should be, ut being owned by someone who wanted to enjoy it for decades, t was showed more than generous preemptive care. There has been A TON of scheduled and preventive maintenance performed to this truck to keep the engine in near brand new condition. The motor is very healthy and has loads of smooth power! And a happy Rover will go and go and go happily for hundreds of thousands of miles. And this happy Rover has received LOADS of preventative maintenance to make sure of that. It was originally a lease vehicle, hich I love to see. That means it was in the dealer's and owner's best interest to keep the car in top notch service. It also kept the miles down! NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. NO 3 AMIGOS LIGHTS. NO ABS LIGHTS!

-HEAD GASKETS

As part of the preventive service schedule, his truck received BRAND NEW OEM head gaskets and OEM head bolts. This service was done within the past 500 miles as part of this truck's ongoing preventative care. THIS is the maintenance you want to see on a Rover! The truck runs COOL as can be and has never overheated. The cylinder heads were cleaned, ecked and pressure checked! BRAND NEW valve cover gaskets, alley pan gaskets and seals, ront cover gasket, il pan gasket, xhaust manifold gaskets and upper intake gaskets, ll resealed among a few other minor seals. These were done in order to keep with the same high regard and care. The upper and lower intakes, alve covers and front cover were thoroughly cleaned.

-CRANK SEAL

BRAND NEW crank seal. These all tend to drip a bit on Rovers - fear not with this brand new seal!

-RADIATOR

BRAND NEW radiator! Radiator flows fantastic and keeps this beauty nice and cool. The temp needle NEVER moves past 9 o'clock even with the AC on and in traffic. The proper OAT coolant is used and brand new! BRAND NEW OEM radiator hoses

-WATER PUMP

As part of the overall service a newer water pump was installed as well! Not once did this truck show a need for it, ut it was done as part of the dedicated service to keep it in tip top shape and ready for the owner to go LOADS of care free miles.

-POWER STEERING

BRAND NEW power steering pump!

-HOSES

BRAND NEW upper radiator hose, ower steering hose and overflow tank hose!

-OIL PAN GASKET

BRAND NEW oil pan gasket!

-IGNITION

BRAND NEW Autolite coppers (the RIGHT plugs) and high quality wires.

-BELT

BRAND NEW serpentine belt! BRAND NEW belt tensioner!

-AIR FILTER

Newer air filter!

-EMERGENCY BRAKE

Recently adjusted and tight, nly a couple notches on the handle holds the truck tight

-TRANSMISSION

The trans was just given all new fluid and shifts great!

-DIFFERENTIALS

New gear oil in the diffs!

Lets move to the suspension and brakes:

-BRAKES

BRAND NEW brakes pads in the front and rear, he truck brakes great. BRAND NEW front brake rotors. Rear rotors are newer with loads of life! No ABS lights! No 3 Amigos lights. No traction control lights or issues!

-SHOCKS

Great feeling OEM shocks. They are soft on bumps and tight in corners. The trucks handles wonderfully!

-4WD SYSTEM

4WD Low and High both work great! New Transfer Case oil!

-STEERING

Nice and tight and responsive!

Let's continue to the exterior:

-PAINT

The paint is quite nice! It is a 7-/8+ out of 100. Shiny, eautiful Epsom paint was recently polished, inished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. It looks wonderful. CLEAN and CLEAR CarFax. NO ACCIDENTS. The green paint is deep and has a wonderful luster! There are several very minor dings on the truck, nd a small dent in the bottom of the rear quarter panel drop off on the drivers side. It's kind of hard to notice. There are a few scratches and flaws which are very hard to see in pics and in person. The roof and hood are in very nice shape, ot like most Discovery that the clear coat is all peeled off! The flares have a little sun fade too, ut clean up nicely. There are some stone chips on the front bumper paint, little more than average but very hard to nice unless right up on it. Remember this is a near 13 year old truck with totally original paint, here may be some minor scratches, ear not discussed in detail etc, ut they are well below any expectation level for Discovery or cars of this year. Even against more modern cars the paint will compete head to head - it really is quite nice. Please forgive a few pics, t started to lightly mist while shooting the car - yes I know, e all looked at the sky confused here in SoCal as well - so there are a few shots with some drops on the car.

-TIRES

BRAND NEW Nitto Grappler tires! Loads of tread life left on the tires! Fronts and rears have 90% tread left and are new condition.

-WHEELS

The limited edition Hurricane wheels look absolutely stunning on the Rover! They were just recently cleaned and look great. There is some minor flaws, ut because of the overall shine and shape, ot very noticeable.

-BUMPERS, ALANCES and PLASTICS

The bumpers are in nice shape and free of the typical sun fade that is so common in them. They, long with the other plastic or rubberized plastic trim, hines beautifully! The lower grill and valance are very nice and the foglights are free of cracks or issues! These little bits of trim quality and integrity drastically increase the look and beauty of a Disco!

-HEADLIGHTS

It is very typical to 03/04 Discovery headlights to be yellow and hazy...not this beauty! Take a look at the pics! Gorgeous and clear!

-GLASS

Not to let a pebble defeat this truck, he windshield is in great shape! Beautifully clear glass makes a world of difference. It makes the truck feel brand new! The door glass is wonderful shape!

-TRAILER HITCH

The Rover has a factory trailer hitch!

-UNDERCARRIAGE

Nice undercarriage! No rot or trail scars. Never offroaded!

Onto the cabin:

-SEATS

The Alpaca Beige leather seats are in nice shape. The leather is SO soft and comfortable. I truly love driving this truck. You sit high and comfortably in these buttery soft seats! The dark brown piping offsets the Alpaca Beige leather perfectly! The leather has been very well cared for and shows some minor flaws at. There is a very mall seat belt rub mark on the drivers side seat bolster and is minor at best. There is some light wear, reases, ight fade, tc on the front seats in a few other small spots, ut shows pretty nice and is still very comfortable. The little flaws don't take away from the interior, just like to point out anything I see! The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well and is overall is very nice shape! Rear seats are in great shape and appear to only have minor use if any.

-DOOR PANELS

None of the typical suede dirt or staining on the door panels!

-HEADLINER

BRAND NEW headliner looks great, ith minor flaws at best. Check out the cargo nets that are always stretched to death! Not this truck!

-CARPET

Beautiful carpet in the truck! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail.

-POWER SEATS

All power seat functions work perfect! Hard to find in a Disco!

-POWER WINDOWS

All windows work smooth and quickly! Another hard to find in a Disco!

-SUNROOF

BOTH sunroof work perfectly! A Disco rarity! All four sunshades are unbroken! A Rover first I believe!

-RADIO

The OEM radio was upgraded to an aftermarket Alpine unit with Bluetooth! It sounds fantastic and puts us in 2016 for sound and phone capabilities!

-AC/HEAT

AC is arctic cold and heat is earth core hot!

-MIRRORS

Power mirrors work perfectly!

-CENTER REAR VIEW MIRROR

The self dimming ink has not popped and bled in the mirror like 95% of other Disco's. A true rarity!!!

-STEERING WHEEL

The leather is very nice, o tears or issues or major issues, ome minor wear/scratches only! It has been conditioned and feels great in your hands! It is a real rarity to find these wheels in good shape!

-CARGO AREA

Rear carpet is fantastic!

The Experience

Driving this Discovery is fantastic. It is Lexus quiet inside, andles like a sports car and is as comfortable as a Rolls Royce. You sit high and comfortable with great outward vision. The leather is comfortable, he wheel is smooth, he AC cold, he radio crisp and the ride supple. It really doesn't get much better in a Rover! the I hope you can tell by my long ad that this truck is a great pre-owned and beautiful Range Rover. There are other Discovery, ut if you do find one for sale and it has more methodical service and miles, urge you to buy it! Remember, overs take a little extra care and feeding, o a Rover with 70k miles with questionable, nknown or poor service history is worth about as much as a Slurpee if you add up all the service that will need to be done to make it a reliable, eautiful, olid truck again. Treat them well and keep up on maintenance and they will love you back! Don't spend big money on a truck from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the truck is say a few things they think people like to hear. As you may tell from my ad, know the care that these trucks need and the details that make them tier 1, rom a tier 2 or worse and I hope to have addressed them to those of you that know as well. If an ad says "Low miles and well cared for" Ask questions! If you don't get thorough, ell addressed answers, tart planning more money and more aspirin. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! If you were to add up all of the recent items in this truck, ou would find well over $8k in recent retail scheduled and preventive service and restoration alone. This truck is ready to go live another 200k+++ miles of beautiful, eliable, njoyed life in your hands. Don't buy an unserviced truck for a little less than spend multiple times as much to get it to this level of service!
