Let me start by saying I am a Porsche nut. I have been in PCA since the 80s.I have raced Porsches for years. I bought, repaired, restored, sold and admired them since my fathers 911 in the 70s.What I'm trying to say is I think I know what I am talking about. These two Porsche's would make 1 fine 914. Here's what I would do. Media blast the unrusted white 1970 which is super straight. Then use the parts of the 1973 to complete it. Let me start with describing the ivory white paint code L65K 1970 1.7 litre . She is still wearing her original paint. She has never been in an accident. She is rust free except 3 spots. Right rear near the tail light 4 pinholes. Baseball size whole under drivers seat and jacking post right side rocker. Every other part of her body is beautiful. That includes her rockers and under the battery box. All the gaps are dead on because she hasn't been crashed. No title but I am working on it. She was made 02/70. She still has the front and rear suspension. What's really cool is her 90% original paint. It would be my pick to make concourse. The doner car is a 1973 1.7 liter originally painted L65k Revenna green. She is rusty pretty much all over but 99% complete. She was fitted with rare dealer installed air conditioning. She could be repaired but would take a lot of body work.I have her clear title. I have a lot more photos I can forward upon request.I am not selling the luggage rack with this package. What can I say but they are cool old Porsches that are starting to increase in value quickly. They are just really fun to zip around in.
