Description

1982 Toyota Corolla SR5 with 3TC Engine. Coupe. Has 104,087 miles. It had 87k I believe when I got it back in 2009. I don't drive it much. It made it to LA from here with no problem. Work I have had done over these years: Carburetor rebuild brake rebuild flushed engine, oolant and tranny. Tranny also serviced. alternator and voltage regulator replaced couple years ago. Front end: bearings, ushings, ontrol arm, rag link, tc..a lot done under there a couple summers ago. New exhaust a couple years ago we pulled out of the bone yard! Passes CA smog every time. Good quality wires and plugs 2 years ago. two new tires two years ago. battery is lifetime from Costco and couple years old. shocks in back. (could use struts soon). I don't carry a lot of weight, ther than me. I rarely have a rider. Had two rust spots appear AFTER I move to the Ocean area back in 2011. I had them serviced and he did not do a great job as the rust came back through. I included pics of that. They are on the rear under the window. AC needs charging. I have this part for that somewhere around here. My mechanic friend moved to South Dakota and that was on his list to do. Never got done. Rarely gets hot in San Diego. Although last year was for some reason along the coast. Oil pan gasket two years ago. He had fun with that. lol. I helped. Blower and heat work great, efrost. The rear defrost could use hooked up. That was on the handy man list too. Oil changes were done. Probably due for one now. As well as a flush of the coolant. Overdrive works great. I have gotten out of a few jams on the highway by punching the pedal. Needs an alignment I just noticed. Also, here is an inner wheel hub which could stand to use replaced eventually on the driver's side, s per what the mechanic told me from a local place. I don't hang out at junkyards anymore so never got done. Cheap part probably. Seats are good overall. Passenger seat has some damaged as pictured as that is where the sun hits it. The drivers side is good, oth doors and the inside vinyl are good. Back seat on top looks like a dog was neurotic and chewed some holes in it. So, coverd it as pictured. I keep the seats covered. Lighter works, ipers work, quirts cleaner, urn signals work, mergency flasher works. All original trim. Comes loose every couple years as pictured on the driver's door. Windows could use some moulding work. Otherwise they are there and function overall. Driver's side window needs adjusted. It will stay up, ut going up and down it is not working anymore. It was like that once before and my friend took off panel and fixed it. Locking door for gas cap. I have the idea of meeting at my bank with the Notary to do the transfer of title and money there. I understand you might be in another state and want this car. Selling a car that way, ollecting the money, nd shipping it are all a big learning curve for me. I would be open to the idea. I have some more research to do on that. It feels pretty risky to me. Risky business. Would rather sell locally. You could always fly in, ay me, nd handle the shipping yourself? San Diego is a great place to visit! If you have some spare airline miles-there is an idea! I'll add things as I think of them. Thanks for viewing.
