What - 1965 Pontiac Bonneville Vista3 Four-Door Hardto, m B-bodybuilt in Arlington, 049 Original miles, exas,Capri gold, old interior, 89, uto, riginal 5 vent ac, ll trim present minus 2 small pieces in front of rearfender, nterior looks great, verything is here just as it was in1965!
Story- car was purchased by Preacher in Houston, x . He then used it strictly as a Sunday driver.We found multiplepieces from the foldedcoveroff ofhis Bible under the seat. We have a binder with service records to document the mileage. He lived acouplemiles from the church he'd drive to Preach to hiscongregation thenrun his errands and back to the house.
Current condition-The paint began to fade so he painted over the gold with the now black that's dull. The last time it moved until this last year was 1987. Motor needs attention. Top end has been taken off and we do have everything to reassemble. 1 rust spot in trunk corner and the other is passenger rear floor pan.
Cool- These classic cars didnot have aB pillar sowith the windows down you could fit a king sizemattress though the windows! Isn't thatthe definition of big body cool? Rebuilt 389 motorsproduce 400+ really cheap horsepower. These cars are really cool so people will discover the car very quickly!We 2k gritwetsanded justthe hood to bring out the patina and the gold shows though nicely. But that is where we will stop. This Bagged on some color matched Detroit Steelwheels would be a definite Eye catcher. Or Stock restoration? It's all there!
