1995 Mazda Miata MX-5 Merlot M Edition

LOOK NO FURTHER!
If you are a Miata person (who isn't?), hen you know you have found an exceptional example of the 95 "Merlot" M-Edition. That was the only year they made it in this beautiful dark color or with the light & strong BBS wheels. Also the only year with separate leather headrests as a proper roadster should have (not the "surfboard" seats in all other years). It is my dream car, nd hopefully yours too. My daughter was born 12/07/15 and after 4 months of debate, am selling the car to pay off hospital bills and start her college fund.
It took me a long time to find this particular car and have spent a lot of time getting to know her on the road & in my garage. The engine and drivetrain are bone stock which is proven to last well beyond 300K miles with proper maintenance. The interior/leather has been reconditioned. Passed safety & emissions inspections with flying colors in Feb 2016. Mechanically perfect.
Recent Maintenance performed in 2015/2016:

• Soft top rear window replaced. Soft top is in great condition, ut rear window was fogged due to age. Not anymore, rystal clear new rear window!
  
• Premium Royal Purple oil & filter change at 93,000 miles.
• Wheel alignment at 93,000 miles.
  
• Installed European e-code H4 halogen light conversion for superior light & easy replacement.
  
• New NGK spark plugs installed & torqued to spec.
  
• New NGK plug wires.
• New air filter.
• Adjusted throttle cable to factory specs (these start to stretch after 20 years of use).
• New & improved washer spray nozzles spray entire windshield now.
• New premium wiper blades.

This is the best MX-5 Miata on the market because:

• '95 M = the best NA ever! Classic Lotus Elan inspired looks and pop-up headlights. Has stronger 1.8L engine, imited slip differential, ruise control, oth driver and passenger airbags, ower windows, ower mirrors, eather interior, nique '95 M color, nique '95 M seats, actory M-Edition badging on fenders and stainless door sill plates, nly year with 15" light and strong BBS wheels with cover locking tool included, riginal cup holder kit included, his has everything!
• Color matched hard top included.
• OEM Mazda tonneau/deck cover included. This is a tidy cover for the convertible soft top mechanicals and has been cleaned with leather/vinyl conditioner over the winter.
• This car is adult owned and garage kept and the hard top is covered when in storage on dedicated hard top carrier rack.
  
• BF Goodrich 195/50R15 tires have a lot of tread remaining. Pictured with a penny for scale.
  
• Leather interior/seats have been reconditioned and partially used color matched leather repair kit is included in auction.
• Leather steering wheel has been reconditioned and looks brand new. These have the tendency to be really worn after all the time in the sun and owner's wedding ring battle scars.
• Nardi Leather Shift Knob reconditioned.
  
• No rust anywhere. Has been registered in dry states like California, rizona, exas, tah.
  
• Accident free, lean title, nd under 100K miles is considered low for this car.
• 'It has not been molested by any previous owner by slamming or "stancing" the suspension, hich is factory original.
• It has not been modified turbo/supercharged, o the engine longevity has not been compromised. Does not have a stupid aftermarket cold/hot air intake. Stock engine should last a very long time with basic maintenance.
• Including brand new oil filter and valve cover gasket. Doesn't need it now, ut good to have for future maintenance. Also including new fuel filter I never installed because it is always full of gas for weekend runs through the hills.
  
• No reserve price!
  
• The only modifications are tastefully done to make this car perform to its best abilities.

Mature maintenance/modifications performed by previous owners

• Installed new clutch slave cylinder.
• Hardtop painted to match vehicle exterior (non-heated). These are hard to find and usually priced around $1200. It is in good condition and turns my roadster into a little coupe for year round driving fun! I am not considering selling this separately because I want this car to remain complete to the next owner who appreciates these things.
  
• Aftermarket dual exhaust looks great and sounds phenomenal at all revs. Also including original exhaust with car for buyers who prefer factory exhaust note.
• FM Frame Rails & Butterfly Brace
• Factory original OEM Mazda NB Strut Tower Brace
  
• Factory original OEM Mazda NB wind deflector
• Factory original OEM Mazda tonneau/deck cover. This is a tidy cover for the convertible soft top mechanicals and has recently been cleaned with leather/vinyl conditioner.
  
• Interior light retrofit kit (moves center mirror to windshield mount, dds overhead light and both passenger and driver foot well lights).

Disclosures/known issues.

• Radio & tape deck work perfectly. CD player only works intermittently. Maybe just dust inside, ut these cars don't have the best stereo anyway. I was going to send it to Jeff Anderson for his modification (he tweaks it for more base response and adds an auxiliary port plus LED backlighting), ut ultimately decided to just put the top down and blast around town and enjoy the motoring experience without the distraction.
  
• Paint looks great, ut not perfect. Maybe 8/10 given it is 21 years old. Small spot on trunk looks to have touch up paint applied. Previous owner slipped and broke fall on nose of car so the top clear coat is scratched. I am anal and notice these imperfections but still looks great on a sunny day. See pictures.
  
• Otherwise perfect. Drives like new, aybe better with the structural improvements.

I plan on selling the following separately, ut if car sells for buy-it-now price I will include:

• Hard Top rolling storage rack & cover for your garage. Pictured grey covered thing in front of Miata in garage.
  
• New FM/Garage Star Delrin Door Bushings (stiffens the chassis and drives better). <--this was my January 2016 birthday gift!
• Brand new custom stitched "Eunos Roadster" premium leather shift boot and emergency brake cover (pictured, ut not included in sale unless sold via buy-it-now. Great condition Mazda boots are included in listing)
  
• New offset front license plate bracket.
• 1995 M-Edition Miata "...Parking Only" sign
  

I hate to see my dream roadster go and hope it finds a good home with new owner who will promise to meticulously maintain her as I have. The car is so much fun and I hope to be in a position to buy another one some day. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or compliments.
