1974 TR6 - just bought it a few weeks ago and drove it about 20 miles home; but now am buying a house and need the cash. Car drove well home (stiff suspension - do all TR6s have that? this is my first), ut there are two mechanical issues I know of: master brake cylinder is leaking, nd headlights sometimes come on and sometimes don't. Other lights and mechanicals seem to work, nd the seller reported that he had just had the starter rebuilt. He also said he redid the front brake lines and put in a new battery.
Floor pans have been replaced and body panels seem quite solid. There is one place where the frame has rusted and needs repair; there is also rust-through in the trunk floor that has not been repaired. No notable dents but there is a slightly bent and slightly rusted point at the top of each front fender - perhaps the car was caught there in a closing gate or something?
Top could use replacement - back window is clouded and the whole thing is a bit worn. Top frame seems in decent shape. Wood trim on the dash is shabby. Windows go up and down but not perfectly smoothly.
Tyres (we'll go British for the spelling) :) are in good shape. Sorry, o overdrive. I purchased the car from a mechanic so did not receive service records, s he did the work himself. Sorry, o manual either.
I welcome any questions.
