1979 Riviera. 2 owner 161,000 totally documented original miles. Rebuilt 2 liter fuel injected hydraulic valve motor. Mint interior (all original).The vanis always garaged. Solid, ust free West Coast bus. Both the first and second owners were meticulous when it came to the maintenance and general care and preservation of the van. I have detailed maintenance, epair, il change records. I also have a detailed log book showing every oil change, verytime oil was added when it was low,every time the van got gas, etailed mileage records,how many gallons ect. dating back to the 90's.. The van runs and drives perfect. Once in a while you come across a well maintained survivor like this van. Clear Oregon Title. One of the best original Rivieras on the market.
PAINT/ BODY- This bus has had one repaint in its original color of Dakota Beige (L13A). New front windshield and seal. The nose is perfect. No accident history.The body and door gaps are perfect. This van almost looks as good as it did when it rolled of the factory floor, ay for a few minor dings, mperfections, ct. The pin stripe colors give it a classic, intage look. The under carriage is spotless. The factory under coating is in great condition. Zero cancer rust. The battery tray is even solid. New driver and passenger side mirrors. I just had the paint professionally polished and the complete van detailed at a cost of $400.00.
POP TOP- The pop top is in great condition. The original gelcoat on the fiberglass poptop was just polished.The original canvas, creens,and fiber glass pop top is inexcellent condition and still looks brand new, here is no rips, tains, r damage. The upper bunk upholstery is in mint condition.
INTERIOR- This interior is in likenew condition. The Rivieras came with factory front seat covers that match the rear z bed upholstery, he original front, ear bed / seat upholsteryis in mint condition. All, abinets are mint with, o chips, racks, cuffs ect. The carpet was just professionally shampooed. All electrical, ome lights, ash lights, amping lights work perfect.The van comes with its original chrome hub caps,jack, anuals, ridge manual, torage/step stool, ront windshield curtain, utting board, nd front cup holder. The factory curtains are in good condition as well. The head liner and door panels are original and look good. The rear bed is a full size bed. One feature unique to the Riviera is that you can fold down one side of the bed so one passenger can be laying dow, he other can be in the sitting position (there is no blind spots with this interior lay out). NewCD playerand speakers. The van still has its original screens for the sliding windows. This van has a electric fridge, ropane stove, nd asink that has both hand pump and shore water faucet. The dash is perfect with no cracks. The pop top boot cover is in excellent condition. There is a 10 gallon storage tank for water as well as a hook up for shore power.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION- 40k miles on the rebuilt 2 liter fuel injected hydraulic valvemotor. The motorruns perfect with plenty of power. The motor was rebuilt by a reputable shop in Portland Oregon. The transmission was also recently rebuilt 20k miles ago. I have all receipts and records for all work listed that come with the van. New fuel filter, epacked wheel bearings, lugs, ap rotor, resh oil change, ew clutch pressure plate, hrow out bearing, attery, il cooler, lternator, egulator, lutch cable, ngine seal, ndfuel pump. the ignition was updated with electronic ignition (no more points). The axles were rebuilt as well.
. The van has always passed DEQ (smog) here in Portland Oregon. The van has a new catalytic converter.
OTHER-The front and rear bumpers have been repainted. The wheels were professionallysand blasted and powder coated.The front floor boards look excellent (no rust, ee pictures). The original factory under coating is in good condition. The under carriage is dry and spotless. New brake lines, ront brake pads, ear shoes, aster cylinder, tarter solenoid, ir box, ires, ndfuel sender . The van does have a after market cruise control, owever it is not presently working.
This is not your average Riviera. The original owners took amazing care of this van. The van has only been driven sparingly the last several years. This busis alwaysgaraged. The interior is in amazing shape and in near mint original condition. This bus is a time capsule that you just don't see every day, O RUST, o wrecks in over 30 years! 1979 was the last year of air cooled bay windows.The 1978-79 buses with the 2 liter hydraulic motor are the most sought after bay windows due to the power, odern fuel injection, ow maintenance, nd economical gas mileage. This is one of thebest bay window campers on the market. This van would be perfectfor car shows, aily driver, r for your cross country camping adventures.
