Original, n-restored Survivor car!!!! An AWESOME project for someone, r drive it like it is!
If you've been around cars for a while you'll remember when the Maverick was considered to be Grandpa's car. These are now becoming much tougher to find and more sought after....MOST ESPECIALLY in this kind of condition. Even in stock form they attract a lot of attention...and, f you're wanting to put a little time and effort into it, hey can look amazing! I have built 12 or more Mavericks over the years. It's a really cool body style, hey stand the test of time better than many other cars that are out there. This is a very solid car!!
And, must say, or a car that is 40+ years old, his is a rare gem. I've only had one other Maverick in better condition than this one and that was 20+ years ago.
This is a very low mile car. At the time of this listing has 64,668 miles on it (it may end up with 5-10 more miles as I may have to put it in my storage unit to keep it inside. This is a very clean (garage kept) Maverick with Factory Air Conditioning that is holding a charge and still blows cold air. It is in original, nmolested condition. (the radio had been replaced, ut I still have the original)
The body is super clean with only 2 very minor rust spots (shown in pictures, ehind the rear tires at the bottom of the rear quarter) The body is straight. The interior is really clean as you can see in the pictures. This appears to be the original upholstery. The pin on the right sun visor is missing and the horizontal horn button has come slightly detached from the steering wheel. The dash pad has a crack down the center (shown in picture). The trunk carpet is still intact as is the spare tire. In my experience with Mavericks, haven't seen one cleaner than this one in years!!
I would actually prefer to keep this one. I really enjoy building them and have lots of fun ideas brewing in my head. I actually need the money and the space for another project. Buy it, rive it like it is, r, uild it the way you want!! It's already an attention getter!!! You don't see an early 70's car this clean very often.
I have built at least 3 very sanitary "show quality" Mavericks. There's a company called Auto Krafters that still has almost everything available for these cars.
I have a brand new pair of KYB front shocks for this car. I will be including the shocks with the car.
Finding a nice, olid (40+ year old) builder is getting much more challenging. Bid on this one while it's still available. Possibilities are endless.
Please e-mail with any questions. Thank you and happy bidding.
