1968 Mustang GT - All Original Parts - One Owner Past 45 Years - No Body Damage

1968 Mustang GT - J Code. All original parts, ever in an accident, o sheet metal, iberglass or Bondo or replacement parts of any kind. Original interior. The car is just now seeing the light of day after decades of being in storage. Completely clean title.

I was asked for some additional pictures of the shock tower area, nder the trunk and the trunk. As shown in the new pictures there is no rust through in any of these areas. Inside trunk lid looks almost new.

I've relisted the car for another 5 days. I've received offers above the ending high bid and contacted by a few potential buyers from overseas who did not have time to submit a bid. If it isn't sold I'll keep it, o some work on it and list it again at a later date. The parts shown are now minus the scoop and velocity stacks. All the other parts will go with the car if the buyer wants them. I've not done a lot of research on the value of each of the parts, ut those that are not needed can be sold by the buyer to recoup part of their investment. History

A bit of history for this car. I got this car from my father when I was 15 years old, n 1971. I raced it at Detroit and Motor City drag ways in Michigan for one season. I was racing this car before I had a drivers license. The next season I raced a 1972 Cuda 340. We bought a 1967 Mustang the next year that was strictly a race car. The 68 went into the garage after the one season and stayed there until 6 years ago when I put it in storage. I sold the 67 here on eBay last year, ou should be able to find it in the sold history. The condition of this car compared to the 67 is night and day.

The only reason I’m considering selling this car is due to a cancer diagnosis. I had the car professionally apprised and with that and the selling price of the 67 that was sold here, have set the reserve accordingly. I know what the value of this car is. I’m an old car guy, ather owned a gas station until my twenties, worked as a test driver for GM for several years and was very successful and well known racing at the dragstrips mentioned above in the 1970s.

Based on the condition of 68 Mustang GT’s like this, hat I’ve seen here and other places, t wouldn’t take much for someone to have a very valuable and premier show car. Those of you in the restoration business will understand what I’m saying. There are very few original metal 68 Mustang GT’s available, any of those that have been restored have a generous amount of sheet metal and replacement parts. This is one of the few that doesn’t have any or needs any. I honestly really don’t want to sell this car, ut I am for the right price. If I don’t sell it here I’ll leave it for my estate to deal with or sell it at the upcoming Internationally known Woodward Avenue Dream Cruse. (I live a half block from the center of the Dream Cruse and Mustang Alley) Since I’ve owned this car for 45 years I’m not in a desperate need to get rid of it. I’m only interested in serious buyers and will not entertain joke offers. I’m also looking for a buyer who will appreciate this original and unique vehicle.

The car was rust-proofed after we bought it. So as you can see from the pictures there is no major rust other than a dime spot on the trunk lid as seen in the pictures. Frame is in great condition, loorboards also. Other than the surface rust as seen in the pictures the car is pretty much like it was when we put it in the garage.

In addition to the car, am also including a lot of other parts including two manual transmissions, wo sets of headers, wo bell housings, set of heads, rive train, urst in-line 4-speed shifter, n Edelbrock manifold and many other parts, ll for this car and a 289/302 engine. I do not have the rear wheels or tires. Haven’t gotten around to that and may not.

Terms, onditions and Notices of Sale

I take a lot of time to include as many representative photographs as possible and meticulously describe vehicle. However, t is important to bear in mind that this vehicle is pre-owned and not in new condition.

Payment and Deposit

I require that you contact me (the seller) within twenty-four (24) hours, ne (1) day, f this auction closing. A non-refundable deposit of ten percent (10%) is due within forty-eight (48) hours, wo (2) days, f this auction closing and can only be paid to Seller by Cash or bank to bank wire transfer in US dollars. Full payment of the final price is due within seven (7) days of this auction closing and can only be paid to the seller by Cash, r combination of cash and bank to bank wire transfer in US dollars. Please be advised that you are responsible for all fees associated with the purchase of the vehicle including but not limited to taxes and registration.

Once full payment is received, he Seller will provide clear title, nd Bill of Sale to you for signature. The forms must be completed before the Automobile is shipped or made available to you.

Any failure to pay the deposit or final price of the auction within the time noted above will result in full action through eBay and legal action though state and federal law pursuant to this contract. In addition, he Automobile will be re-listed for sale.

Taxes, icensing and Fees

Out of state buyers and over sea's buyers (including other countries), e will send title and you will be responsible for registration and taxes in your own state or providence. If leaving the state or country, he car must be picked up by either the buyer or a transportation company that can provide a bill of lading, All licensed transport companies provide these).

Delivery or Pickup

Buyer is responsible for all delivery costs and arrangements or picking up the Automobile. If the Automobile is not picked up by you or your designated delivery service agent or driver, he Seller will charge a fee of forty three dollars ($43) a day after two (2) weeks of the auction closing for everyday the Automobile is not picked up.

The Seller reserves the right to end the auction early for any reason.
