Description

This is a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI Turbo FWD 5-Speed. I've owned this car for 10 years, reating it more as a project car than a daily driver. In that time, 've probably put only 1,000 miles on the car. The car is showing 171K on it, nd the cylinder head was overhauled before I purchased the car from a woman co-worker of mine.

Over the years I have gone through the car and replaced whatever needed replacing. This included the ECU, hrottle body, SC, 2 sensor, lugs and wires, iming belt, lternator, ower steering pump, lus all belts, luids and filters among other things. The car started and ran great, nd pulled like a train.

From a suspension standpoint I replaced the drive axles, -arms, hocks, prings, rakes and brake rotors. The springs are Eibach and the shocks are KYB, hich together mildly firmed up the ride. The wheels are from an Acura RSX and are in perfect condition.

The car has no rust, ut does have some minor dings that can be removed with paint-less dent repair (I was quoted $300-$400 to do everything). The front air dam has damage, ut I'll include a replacement.

I was in the process of replacing the carpet, o the interior was removed, ut I was getting tight on time and put the car into indoor storage for a few years with gas stabilizer. The car was started periodically without problems.

Unfortunately, n moving the car back to my garage, noise from the transmission was heard when the car was in neutral and your footwas off the clutch (it went away when you stepped on the clutch). Assuming it was the throw out bearing, ordered a new one, ropped the transmission, eplaced the throw out bearing, ut after getting the car back together, he noise is still evident. I’m kind of done, s I don’t have the time to drop the transmission again – in doing this job I also replaced the lower ball joints (boots were cracked), everse switch, V axle seals to the transmission, nd the right front brake caliper that was dragging a bit. As I said, f the car needed something, replaced it.

The car starts fine, ut does idle a bit high right now, nother symptom from the extended storage.

I have all parts for the interior plus many other interior duplicate parts from trips to the junkyards, Bay, nd Craigslist -- Please see the pictures as all of this is included and this includes all clips and bolts and other hard to find items -- nothing is missing.

I don't have the time to address the transmission noise nor finish replacing the interior so I'm selling the car as it is with a very modest reserve.

I would prefer if the car were trailered as the car just hasn’t been on a road trip in some time. If you’re determined to drive it home, e can talk.

The car is 100% stock with the exception of the mild suspension upgrades and wheels and has never been raced. All in all a very straightforward project for a car that has had a lot of time and money spent on it.

Please don't hesitate toemail with any questions you may have.

Thanks,

Mike
