Description

1995 Ford Mustang LG World Challenge Race

Dallas Motorsports presents this unique and well set up Mustang LG World Challenge Race Car!

This is Chassis #3 of 7 built by Lou Gigliotti at LG Motorsports for the World Challenge series in the mid 90's. 3 of the 7 cars built were sold to Steve Saleen for the World Challenge Series. This LG Challenge carwas built to compete with other notable and famous Challenge Drivers such as: Steve Saleen, im Allen, ob Bondurant, nd many more! In the years following the world challenge series, his challenge car was used mostly as a DE car, ith a few COMMA (COMPETITION MOTORSPORTS ASSOCIATION) races at Hallett Raceway up until 2015.
With its current setup, his World Challenge Mustang is tough to compete with on the track! In December of 2013, t was fitted with a Ford Racing S374D Engine (serial # M-6007-S374D), hat is set up for Nascar Oval and Road Racing! The Ford Sealed Racing Engines are built with real racing parts such as a Forged Crank, ods and Pistons w/ full floating piston pins! Also note that the S374 engines are built with a BOSS 351 Racing Block with CNC Ported Heads. The Ford Racing Dyno Sheet shows the motor to be putting out 590hp with a Holley 750 Carb. Upon arrival of the motor, Holley 830 was re-jetted and installed on this 374. The HP differences are considered to be minimal with the upgraded size of Carb. At that time, ew plumbing was also installed which included new oil lines, ilters, nd remote oil engine tank. All of the fluids were also changed at this time. The fenders, umper cover, nd hood that are currently on the car were painted, abricated and installed after test and tune of the engine. This 374 has less than 3 hours worth of running time!
The S374D is mated to a Freshly Built Nascar Spec 4-Speed Jerico Transmission. (Re-Built by Taylor Racing in Plano, exas Fall of 2015). The 5.50" clutch was replaced with a stronger 7.25" Cerametallic clutch, long with a brand new Ford Racing Aluminum Bell Housing and Flywheel. The rear end consists of a Winston Cup 9" Cambered Rear Axle, ith 1 Degree of negative camber. The rear suspension consists of two lower control arms and a third upper arm, ll of which are adjustable. The front suspension is a circle track set up, ith a short and long arm. The upper and lower control arms are all adjustable. The HUB assemblies are from HOWE and fairly new. The Wilwood Brake Calipers are freshly re-built, ith recently added Coleman Rotors. In Fall of 2015, new fuel cell was also installed.
