1968 Dodge tradesman van, surfer wagon,econoline

I bought this at an estate sale mainly to get the straight axle for a hotrod project, ut it would be a shame to tear up a decent old van like this as hard as they are getting to find. This has a little more rust than the usual Montana vehicles have so I suspect these were pretty bad for rusting out back east and up north in Michigan, innesota etc. Most of the rust is in the outer panels just below the front two doors. It is a boxed in area and it is the outer panel that is rusted, ut I think any decent body guy could cut out the old, nd lay on some new curved sheet metal and clean it up. There are spots in the little pockets near the back doors also that will need patch panels. The brother in law of the older fellow that owned this believed the tranny was acting up, nd there was a replacement tranny in the back when we got it. It is a small V-8 with an automatic. The back two doors are banged in, ut repairable, r any side or back doors work for replacement. An aftermarket straight axle like I want is about $950. so I'm asking $1200. for this.
