Description

Ground up restoration of this all-steel Ford by "The Hot Rod Garage" in Denton, MD. Involved three (3) years, 2000 labor hours and approximately $50,000 in materials in the original build and the restoration by The HRG. Featured in Street Rodder (August 2014) and in Rod & Custom's Fab 5 (April 2014). Engine has a mild cam and a 4-barrel carburetor. Estimated HP is 200-250. Custom boxed and painted chassis, 4-inch dropped Super Bell front axle, Ceramic-coated exhaust, Power Brakes (disc front and drum rear). Portions of the engine, transmission, bell housing and suspension are chromed. Steering is via a Vega Box and Flaming River tilt wheel. New American Autowiring throughout. Six (6) coats of PPG Waterborne Ford Sunset Gold Metallic paint and clear coat. Euro Leather seats, side panels, and lower dash with matching vinyl headliner. Vintage heat and air conditioning. JVC AM/FM/CD Stereo with Bluetooth and Pandora through four (4) Boston Acoustics speakers. Classic instruments "Hot Rod Series" gauges in 32-style dash with glove box. Fenders integrated into the body - no beading. Retractable door checks. Eleven gallon, 32-style rear gas tank. Gas mileage approximately 20 mpg. A hidden Security Systems provides motion detection and tracking anywhere, plus car has a kill switch. Mileage since restoration is approximately 6500 miles.
Included with the street rod are: A California Custom Superweave car cover, a custom bra, many trophies (if you want them), a complete Bill of Materials and receipts for the build and restoration, a CD of the restoration, and a photo history of the car.
