Description |

04 Ram Rumble Bee. It had a 345 originally, now its a .375 w/ a 392 stroker Kit. Trannie is done also. Have most of the blueprint available. Cold air intake. Toyo tires on stock Rims.
Has 80k original miles and 11k on the rebuild. Also has a nice stereo that includes 3x subs where the back tray was and it was done to look like a stock add-on (the cover for the box) so its more slick looking all around...there are all JL in place of stock tweeters and 6x9s and then the 3x JL subs with two amps and a remote.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Background:
I bought this truck new from dealership in 2004 with less than 20 miles on it. Put the cold air intake and exhaust on in 2005 (the current version of the exhaust has the third set of cats...these are high flowandthey pass emissionsandthey throw no code to the computer) In 2008 rebuilt the motor and trannie. Then I had my first child and it has been sitting most of the time ever since. It is fun to drive, it is really fast. When I have driven it I have been babying it as I have known I would need to sell it. The 11k rebuilt motor has so much more to give, and its already a monster. It sounds excellent.Local guy did the stereo (no part of the dash has been cut) i will include his contact info for buyer. I am on my second set of JL amps; they are excellent amps. I am on my third set of subs, the first two were Pioneer this time I did the JL; the 6x9's and tweeters are second set also, first pioneer, this one JL.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Body could use work. Two spots are starting to show rust and ground effects and front grill are in need of replacement. There is no driveability damage, just asthetic. Frame is fine, no accidents.
Title clear I am original owner. Most the last 7 years it has been stored.
Black with yellow stripe, serious with cash only please.
Block strippe, magnafluxe, bore, crank calibrated, cam etc. all head work inc 3 angle valve, pushrods
Compstar Rods, Mahle Pistons & Rings, Thrust Washers, Timing set, freeze plugs.
Clearance & Tolerance Sheet will be included, as will the contact info for the shop and mechanic that did the motor rebuild and the exhaust work; the trans was built by one thier sub contrators, all work done in Milwaukee, WI.
It is super-fast. 4WD & 4 wheel in good working condition. All body paint is OEM. Rims are stock but the tires are not. Odometer has been recalibrated for tire size. Bed liner. OEM covers for rear tail lights, which means it is not a part offered by Dodge but installed by a company after assembly for the manufacturer.
Trannie built to match motor. Exhaust true dual with Edelbrock headers, high flow cats & Flowmasters, and it is correctly matched to computer & passes emissions.
Will need cash; bank check or money order (s), or wire.I can take a credit card or PayPay for a small portion of the total if necessary. You would pay any additional fees from that.
I ran out of room for pictures; I have many more. I am working today on eBay's way to embed a video (first time) so if I can do that I will include a couple videos.
Here is a email question, pardon the long answer but it goes over most of the trucks history and features:
email question (q) / Seller Email Response (seller)
q: Can you send me more pictures of the rust?
seller: my body guy, my very expensive body guy, said 5000 to make it perfect. that included all the stupid ground effect stuff...I never did like the bottom row ground effects, all plastic, always splinter or brea, if I was keeping it I would just eliminate them. A body guy with a Dodge connection for parts could easily do this inexpensively and for not too many hours invested. For years, every time I got the slightest ding, I would take it to my expensive body guy. No filler, no shortcut work, when it has had it.
Rust on the door in two spots, this pic is the worst one, on rear bumper, starting to rust. Frame solid, starting to show some surface rust.
q:Can you send me pictures of the complete Truck, The pictures on line are cutting off part of the truck.
seller: yeah that was cause I listed it on CL and I didn't want people who would try to steal it figuring out where it was parked, it does have a nice stereo.
Also, I have to warn ya, I live by lake Michigan and we have these nasty fat spiders...right now the bed is full of spider webs and I am not inclined to clean them out by hand . I have not had time to go to a car wash, so I'll send you some later today with as many webs gone as I can; understand its not even it sits long, they just produce majorly at night at this time year.
q: Yes, That's not problem and I understand about not letting everyone know where its parked, Don't worry about it being clean its a Truck and the webs. Main thing is the motor and running gears.
Thanks just send pictures when you can .
seller: The motor, top to bottom; the air intake; the trannie, the headers, cats, and pipe to the Flowmasters; the radiator; the master cylinder, lines, calipers; the 4wd the differential, the internal 4wd floor shifter; the electrical harnesses (except perhaps the right rear tail light one); the driveshaft; the suspension; the glass, the rear window slider, the internal dome light and overhead compass/temp, the dash, speedometer, tach, fuel tank, float & gauge and the internal Rumble Bee OEM plates...are all A- to Flawless.
Probably needs machining of rotors (or new ones as I speculate they may be cheaper); the alternator is actually in the 'very good to flawless' category also; replaced it twice, the second time my guy got a higher output one to be sure to have enough to cover the stereo while getting on it.
The heater core is good; the blower motor-I am on my third one. No reason the second one should have failed, idk it seems, though it is working fine now, that I can again hear a slight noise so it's probably on the way in next year or two.
The frame is good...for years I would take the truck to my body guy and pay way too much to have him correctly address dings, or broken ground effects. Wasted a ton of $ trying to keep it perfect until I finally stopped. As of now the front grill has a break in it somewhere. Hard to see unless you're looking. The ground effects by each door are ok but I'm not sure if a buffing would clean them up or, if due to being crappy plastic, they would need replacement to be 'A' condition. The front ground effects are split. They are not hanging or anything but they have cracks.
I do have off-street parking but I live in a 'rust' area and I live in a dense population area, so that don't help when I have to park at the grocery store.
The only rust is on the rear bumper under the metal; that rust just started. The driver door has two spots, one is very small the other is on the verge of troublesome & should be addressed asap by whoever gets it especially if they also live in a 'rust' area. Other than that any rust I haven't seen yet (maybe light surface rust on frame, leaf springs etc) is new enough to be quickly sanded.
There are a couple holes in the interior; one is on the headliner by my window, from a cigarette, another on the seat, smaller ones, likely also from cig. I'd also mention that when I did smoke in there I always was (and am) a windows-open-all-the-way smoker. And I NEVER once used the ashtray ... important to those who want better interior condition, and for what it's worth to non-smokers as no 'overnight' festering smells are embedded.
Two of the engine compartment harnesses have been replaced, along with the left rear tailight assembly harness. The left tail light was repaired also but my guy did it right.
The tailgate and rear bed-light are good...I would expect a body guy buying this would scrutinize the tailgate to be sure no rust has gotten under the liner, there, or in the bed. Certainly cannot see any or feel any or hear any [in the bed or tailgate].
The driver door has had a problem with the hinge. Not sure it it was a factory issue; by the time I noticed it I just fixed it myself. The door closes & opens fine but it does sometimes not latch if you close it very lightly, if you know what I mean. I am sure that is the reason the rust started and now that I think about it, I had the door frame repaired in maybe 05/06 when someone tried to steal the stereo. Probably was the weather-strip not being perfect (I can't remember so assume I told him don't replace it to save $, and it maybe had a small tear-causing water, rust, then hinge degradation.) I do know I am picky about windows, so when the windows slowed down, I had my guy verify the motors were fine, and he said they were binding from dirt, so two separate times over the years I paid to have him disassemble the doors and clean the assemblies. That sped them up to how they were.
Lights & fog lights work. Replaced the fog light switch at one point.
Every time I had something repaired, like the fog light switch, I always had him get MOPAR parts. Not sure about rotors or wiring harnesses but other than that its been all OEM stuff.
Oh and the stock Goodyear's that came on the truck made it look like it was on stilts, the Toyo's are much better suited for the wheel base and overall look, the set on there is the third set. idk mileage but I have a couple good shots of them if needed; the rims are stock and kinda blah but they are ok ... one may be slightly beat up, meaning it took bead sealer to get it to seal correct but they are round. If I had the cash I would get proper rims anyway. I do have the wheel lock key for the lugs and I believe 3 of 4 center caps are there, two are for sure.
I also have the OEM manual and I believe the tow package harness that was included in a separate small plastic package. I should have all original papers. It will also include the stock air intake. I cannot remember if I kept or threw out the rear tray, which has been out since I put the stereo in the year I bought it.
Original floor mats, glove box and both center counsels, the cup holder that drops down from under the radio... all good work good no damage. Well, the floor mats are beat, but you know what I mean.
