1971 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER SCOUT II
99 % RUST FREE NEW MEXICO TRUCK!
Up for auction is a very well represented 1971 International Harvesterout II. I purchase thisvehicle from the second owner and have been restoring it (slowly) for the 3 years. The scout hasbeen in New Mexico since 1985.
THE TRUCK.The truckodometer currently shows 74851 and my guess is it has 174851. It will continue toclimb as I drive itregularly. Itoriginal has rust in the floor boards, above the rear wheel wells and in front of the rear tires. I had it all removed and professional replaced with parts from "Scout Part". There is NO bondo from those repairs. Professional metal work was done here folks!! The only rust that was not repaired is a small bit above the driver side rear wheel well and a body mont on the same side. other than that it is now almost rust free. The Scout sat for a number of years when I purchased it and over the past three years I have also completed thefollowing:
I have Over$4500 inreceipts to get road worthy again. The truck runs, drives, shifts and stops great. It is totally road worthy. I would have no Problems driving this Scout back home from anywhere in the country. Fly here and drove it home! cruises all day long at 75mph. With that being said, the Scout still needs work to complete. Gaskets, seals, paint etc. Please take a good look at picture and ask me any questions you might have.DETAILS GOOD & BADEngine: 304 ci v8 Runs great, small puff of smoke on start up. Been rebuilt by previous owner.Glass: all present, front windshieldneed replacedalso needs new gasket
Breaks:completely gone through. Newcalipers, pads, lines, and rebuilt original master cylinder. Stops on a quarter.
Interior: Clean. Dash pad currently is off but I have it. No stains, rips or tares.
