This is a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop with the rare bubble top back window. I am writing a description of my car as someone who is not an expert in car restoration or repair. This car has a 409 engine with dual carburetors but is not the original matching numbers engine that came with the car. The car is in good running condition but has not been restored. The interior has been redone but is missing a small section under dash on left side near door. The body is black with a few scratches and chips but overall acceptable condition for not being restored. The trim piece along the front of the hood needs to be attached. My late husband bought the car in 1984 and I was told he swapped out the engine and put the 409 in it. This was before I knew him so I am going on what I was told about the car. When I inherited the car it was not running. The engine was installed in it but a lot of the guts were missing. I replaced all the missing parts and had repairs done to the car to get it running. I had the front end redone including ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar and front shocks. There is a new gas tank and sending unit but the fuel gauge is not working. I had new wiring done and a new fan shroud installed. The car also needs new tires. I had a lot of work done to the car over the period of a year in 2011. The reason I am selling the car is because I don't have time to enjoy it and it should be driven and enjoyed by someone. I don't have room to store it anymore. The car has a clear title in my name. This is a northern Indiana car and even though it has been stored inside since 1984 the underside probably has some rust. I tried to take pictures under the car to the best of my ability. Please email me with questions or request my phone number so you can talk to me about the car. I will do my best to answer any questions. Thank-You!
