1978 Pontiac Trans Am Tribute

1978 Pontiac Trans Am Tributecar. Built from a 1978 Firebird.Pontiac 455 (actual 468), 4-speed Super t-10 manual transmission. P/brakes and p/windows. Complete rotisserie restoration finished 6 years ago. Every piece of metal on this car was acid dipped and e-coated, not sand blasted, to ensure all the rust was addressed and not just what was visible. Paint is a beautiful mirror like finish, even at 1 foot away. Hood bird is paint and not a decal. Pontiac header panel emblem was removed and filled, Year One skirts were fitted to the body to create a clean seamless appearance.

Interior: New headliner, carpet, seat covers and cushions, door panels, and sill plates. Beautiful black interior. No radio. ( I never put a radio in my builds, engine is my music)

Engine: Pontiac 455 bored to 468. Built by Nunzies of New York. 4-Bolt mains, studded and girdled. Forged rods and pistons. Edelbrock 87cc heads ported and polished to flow over 300cfm in both runners. Solid rollers cam and roller rockers also girdled. Aluminum flywheel with Center Force dual friction clutch. MSD ignition system,distributor, coil and wires. This engine is 10.4:1 and runs on premium pump gas. Makes 640hp and runs very well on the streets. Never been on a track and has been driven approximately 500 mile since the restoration was complete.

Drivetrain: Super T-10 4 speed manual transmission.Completely rebuilt and handles the power flawlessly.10 bolt rear axle with Mosier3:73gear. Mosier axle cover with capbraces for added support.

Brakes: Front disc, rear drum. Completely new frombooster to linings.

Steering andSuspension: Ladder bar set up for rear. Hotchkis 2 inch loweringleaf and coil springs. All new bushings, links and steering components.

This is an absolutely gorgeous car andgets jaws dropping everywhere it goes.From the healthy sound on the engine,to beautiful lines and paint, this car is worth it.
