This 1987 Ford Escort GL had one owner up until about 2012. It had around 70,000 miles on it (in almost 25 years!) and was driven by an elderly person around town once or twice a week in the later years. When purchased by us, it was then given a work up and used as a daily driver commuting about 80 miles round trip everyday with no issues.
It was basically bought as a "buffer car" before deciding on a new car to purchase. Once new car was bought, it started sitting in thedriveway, whereithasbeen for 2+ years. It wasrunninglast time it was parked but no longer runs.
I feel bad that it has been sitting in the driveway for so long, especially since it is a cool 1980s wagon that wants to get back up and running!
Some details:
exterior:white, faded paintthere is a spot that it looks like someone tried to cover up a faded area with a mismatched white paint.there is some rust in a few small areasrubber seal on driver's door should be replaced. on super heavy days and while driving it can drip in a little. no issues when parkedall lights wereworkinglast time it ran
interior:my favorite part!lush blue fabric with no stains or ripsblue carpeting to match the seatsblue dashboard with minimal signs of age
seats will fold down flat to create one large rear compartment. Our first trip in it was from NJ -> Providence with me and two dogs in the back lying down andrelaxingthe whole way plus all of our bags. Roomy!
