I'm selling an 81 rabbit that I have had for about 6yrs. It has an all metal widebody kit.
*BBS RS 001 wheels/9in front 9.5 rear/w stainless lips
*16V 1.8 turbo
*full 2.5in exhaust with a Borla muffler
*stainless down pipe
*wietec coilovers
*Recaro seats
* Retractable ragtop roof
*all new glass seals and door trim
* new carpet
* roll cage
* Porsche door handles
* I have an extra brand new round headlight front end from ECS still packaged up. I'm also throwing in a digital gauge cluster. I'm not sure about the original miles on the body.
I'm probably forgetting some things. So on to the bad...I planned to do a swap in this car a long time ago but my priorities changed.
About 3-4 yrs something happened to the tranny during the break in process of a spec stage 3 clutch. It only made it a little over 900 miles in. It starts fine but it has a loud grinding noise once the clutch pedal in pressed. The turbo is also not working. The hood flew up on the car because the hood pins where not locked which resulted in one fully broken hinge and some missing paint around the lower part of the windshield. All in all it really doesn't take much to get this car back where it needs to be. If you own a rabbit then you know how much work it takes to even get to this point.
