Beautifully presented and historically significant, this 1956 Packard Clipper Super is the kind of classic sedan that will always turn heads because of its rarity and elegance...So it will be our secret on how little you paid.A beautiful two-tone green sedan is exactly what you'd expected for 1950s premium motoring. This Packard Clipper is wonderfully preserved example of what it takes to be in the upper echelon. We all know this is really a Packard, even if you don't see its name appearing on the sedan. Clipper was an interesting experiment that provided Packard-quality vehicles to a slightly more mainstream part of the market. 1956 is a pivotal year because it is the only time the Clipper got to stand alone as its own brand, while at the same time, the last year Packards (and Clippers) were produced in their own factory. It makes a Clipper Super sedan like this quite rare with less than 5,200 produced and far few surviving through the last six decades. It's interesting history is likely why this car has been preserved. The two greens are the perfect Art Deco pair, and anywhere there is a color change, there's also bright trim used as a separating line. Speaking of brightwork, Packard really did a fantastic job merging the wide chrome bumper and grille into an interlocking design. In the rear it's a similar story with the with the bumper caps mimicking the tailfin curve. The authenticity of this sedan is amazing right down to the hubcaps with the Clipper's captain's wheel logo. The interior has gone for a very interesting preservation feel. People will love to see the surviving elements such as the rear seat, door panels, and dash. You'll love how all the trim is present, right down to the original-style wheel with the Clipper logo properly in place. This is the kind of vehicle that people take extra time to look at simply because of how many original elements remain.Under the hood is the correct Packard/Clipper 352 cubic-inch V8. It looks great in the engine bay with its big bold air grabber and proper Clipper labeled valve covers. This motor was a new edition into the Packard lineup (first seen in '55), but it spent a long time in development to make sure it upheld the company's luxury and durability image. So the V8 won't hot rod off the line, but you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much of a gentleman this premium V8 can be. In fact, this one has a three-speed automatic transmission to ensure that it's the best in cruising. The 1956 Clipper is one of the most interesting cars to showcase for Packard's final chapter. It'll likely be hard to find another one in such correct colors and so interesting for this kind of value price. Call today!!!
