1966 is the last year of the the Corsa model for the Corvair and this one comes equipped with the rare upgraded 180hp turbo engine. It has about 40k miles on the rebuilt engine. (built by Larry's Corvair & maintained by Corvair Specialties) The engine starts/runs well (working choke) but in need of tune up. The turbo spools up at 32-3500rpm and pulls hard. The Jegs performance exhaust gives a deep note and sounds distinct without waking the neighbors. The transmission shifts well and has upgraded dual spider gearsin the rear-end. (replace less than 5years ago) Here is a quick vid of it running https://youtu. be/Ky41YcwN2-UI drove this car daily/weekly for several years and it is set up for driving not showing. This California car is great for top-down cruising. It has the power top (in good condition). and factory Corsa dash. It has a new electric fuel pump and the carb was recently rebuilt. The period correct 15" American Racing Salt Flats Wheels give the car a great stance and performance look. while upgraded front disc brakes make sure you stop with the wider tires. The Tropical turquoise body is solid with no chassis rust or damage. (See pics of floorboards and trunk)The chrome is shiny and kept in good condition. The body panels are solid with minor scuffs/dings/wear&tear. So what's wrong with it? The clearcoat is going bad. but the metal is solid. and the front seats need reupholstered. Will send you the VIN and/any additional pics but if you're looking for a museum pc this is not it. It's not in show car condition but a solid weekend driver or a great starter for a restoration. The car is priced accordingly. nbsp;although you can get a Monza in this condition for less but for someone who wants a Corsa. good luck finding a convertible with a turbo ready to drive for under $15-18k. I will consider reasonable offers. but low ball offers will not be accepted. Contact Max. erious buyers only. what you see is what you get.
