This is a very well optioned 1964 Studebaker Daytona 2 door hardtop for sale. Black/Black. 4 speed. bucket seat. dual exhaust. 4bbl. It has been restored and has had about 5500 trouble free miles in the past 5 years. The engine and driveline has countless upgrades. To name a few. it has a rebuilt world class t5 transmission. rebuilt 3. 92 tt rear end with Fairborns’ flanges axles. Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Centerforce dual friction diaphragm clutch. Pertronix 3 with rev limiter ignition. hyperutetic +. 040 pistons fully rebuilt engine replacing or repairing anything in need. R2+ cam. 1” front sway bar. 6-leaf springs and HD front springs. aluminum radiator with electric fans The car runs down the road very straight and brakes excellent with its modern front mustang disc brakes. The 17” wheels and tires are new with just a trip from Cincinnati to South Bend and back. Fronts are 215/55/17on 7 in wheels. and rears are 255/50/17 on 9” wheels. About 10” wide!!! Wheels fit perfect and have never rubbed. The tires and wheels compliment the car very well. it gets extremely positive feedback at car shows. I bought the car. about 6 years ago out of Sacramento the engine and trans were missing. so the numbers do not match. It was such a special car it just had to be restored. There were very few black on black Daytonas and I think this is the only one ordered with a 4 speed and bucket seats. There are a few minor rock chips on the front of the hood but otherwise the paint is in perfect condition. and shines beautifully. The front door panels are presentable but are not in perfect shape. the backs are fine. The bucket seats have been redone with original Studebaker vinyl inserts and the back seat top is nos. The back seat bottom is in good shape but has a tear in the seam. could easily be fixed. I just never got around to it. I would not hesitate to hop in this car and drive it across the country. I will help in shipping in any way I can and will store the car free for 30 days after the end of the auction. I have a clean Ohio title in hand. Any questions at all please call Dan at 513-252-3066100s of more pictures. current as well as restoration available.
