Description

This has been my car since 1977 when I saw it at a used car lot in Rhode Island going to the beach. It sat for many years in my moms backyard and I finally began restoring it about 12 years ago taking over 4 years of weekends and nights and uncountable hours. I have about 20. 00 into parts and truly hate to put it up for sale but the situation has come. I am a very honest person and know every inch of this car. I will try to give run down of work done; front fender and two rears outer and inners and complete floor pans all new Auto Body Specialties or original sheet metal. nbsp;trunklid (original). Alpine cd player and Kenwood speakers system. new leaf springs and Justrite rear kit. completely new exhaust everything behind headers oem custom made S's. replaced original trunk floor and Year One matt. less than 1000 miles on professionally rebuilt motor with mild cam and Edelbrock intake and it runs absolutely perfect which I do guarantee. the original Carter thermoquad carb was rebuilt by Forties Carburetor locally and they are the best there is. and the tranny was rebuilt and checked out by The Best Transmissions (who are also very highly regarded in this area along with Forties carb do all the guys work that want it done rite but not cheap). nbsp;complete Justrite front suspension kit. replaced original dash. nice ralleye rims with brand new Cooper Cobras 70's in front and 60's in rear. new oem windshield. all brake parts incl lines. complete Year One interior incl header rear window board and glove box. nbsp;new wiring harness I think from Year One. nbsp;etc the list could go on for a while. I tried to keep close to original except for cam. originally had straight round shifter I found a slapstick. hooker headers and Edelbrock. cd player and Kenwood speakers. and brake booster/master cylinder is aftermarket. I set the reserve very reasonable considering the following list of reasons that I don't consider it the perfectly limitlessly funded restored car. 1) the body should be redone professionally there are some bubbles on hood and when you really inspect it closely you see imperfections. 2) couple mistakes in cutting the interior carpet but the new pad underneath is fine 3) the mentioned brake booster not original. 4) does have exhaust leak at hooker headers to block its tough to tighten the nuts where they are located 5) radio and spare tire not original-no space saver tire for the purest 6) slight shimmy from driveshaft at 60 plus and yes it is balanced and new seal and was better but still has vibration. 7) crack in corner of front grill headlight frame area( pictured) which I tried to repair epoxy and had looking great but recracked after installed and driven. The rest of the grill and hood is nice and the reason people buy 'cudas. So all in all it is a lot of car and 85 percent done for the 100 percent perfectionist. To do the things I mentioned then it is probably 35k-40k car. My current situation I just don't have the resources to do the body mint. if I did I would and the price would be much higher. It has stock 323 Dana rear end. and was originally beige with a white hockey stripe. I never regret the colors but wish had pro paint job. This is the popular Dodge blue I first liked when they used it on pickups. Obviously I have the clean title and its been mine for a very long time. I have all the slips for all the parts and the motor rebuild specs and will be digging them up while auction goes. I lost count at about 19 k in parts and that was before body finish and paint. hint on my reserve is just about what I have into total parts and material. I'm to need good deposit at end of auction to hold while arrangements are made and picked up and paid for within reasonable 7-10 day timeframe. Final payment is to be cash or bank transfer cash is always preferred. The car is absolutely going nowhere on a personal check and long winded story. Thanks for looking and I will get it cleaned up a bit and better pictures this week (hopefully will warm up a bit this week) and I'm ready for good questions. I think it will hit the reasonable well thought out reserve I have on it. I truly do not want to sell it so I will keep or relist it if doesn't reach. rather than get after auction lower offers. Thanks for looking !!!On Apr-01-15 at 04:17:08 PDT. seller added the following information: Thinking about it overnight the interior was Year One for some items but the seats were Legendary both front and back and pro installed. The fan doesn't seem correct the last couple times I started the car in the garage it just is too free and no friction at all. It is the original that works on friction and is going need to be checked before any long cruises. Not to worry the car never got too hot or overheated. And the fuel sender is off a quarter tank and probably going to need to be replaced. On Apr-01-15 at 05:32:01 PDT. seller added the following information: Please do not look up my phone number and call my house. This is actually my friends car and I'm listing it for him. Email questions and he will email phone number if there is need to speak in person and/or at end of auction. It is a very reasonable reserve compared to what other similar 'cudas have been finishing at and we should reach reserve no problem. No more hope to get it quick and cheaper if I look up and call phone calls. At this point the auction is going to ride.
