1949 Plymouth 2 door P18 Model Fastback

This P18 has the larger wheelbase than the P17 models.

Quite a rare car being a P18 Fastback

Please read the entire listing carefully. I will describe this car as honestly as possible.

I have sold 2 other cars on Ebay and many other items. I strive to be completely up front about the items I sell.

This Plymouth runs excellent. It has sat for 1 month before and will start up with no issues at all.

The battery does not drain while sitting

When I purchased this car about 1 year ago, I fixed some of the issues so I could drive it whenever I wanted to.

I installed a new 6 volt battery. New starter solenoid, new cables from neg and positive and too starter.

I also rebuilt the carburetor .

I also did a full tune up. New plugs, wires and electronic ignition . No points to deal with.

I installed the new carpet that came with the car when I purchased it.

The muffler had been replaced when I purchased the car. Exhaust is nice and quiet

That was all the car needed to be reliable.

It has always been garaged at my home. I believe this car has been garaged most of its life.

The body is really in good condition for a 1949

The frame and rockers are very solid. There a few bubbles of rust at the corners of both doors. They are seen in the pictures I've attached.

There is a dent in the roof also seen in the pictures

The paint is 95% original. The rear fenders were replaced with factory oemnew fenders by the previous owner and repainted to match

The car could obviously benefit from a paint job. I appreciated its present look.

The interior is nice and the seats are comfortable. There are no rips. The headliner is intact

All gauges are functioning properly.

There was a turn signal switch added to this vehicle and I believe the third brake light too.

It's nice having reliable signals for everyday driving

Tires are in great shape and there is a new matching white wall spare in the trunk

The front suspension has been rebuilt prior to my ownership. A sway bar setup was also installed. The front end is very tight and this car will hold a straight line at 55 with no effort

The brakes are also in excellent shape. This Plymouth stops straight and without issue

The clutch and trans are in excellent condition. This car shifts ultra smoothly. I have owned many 3 speed column shifts. This one is very nice

I would not hesitate to drive this car for any lengthy trip. It will cruise nicely at 50-55

Once again, a very nice running and driving Plymouth. You will not be disappointed. The engine is super quiet and there are no oddball sounds or B.S hidden within.

I just changed the oil 3 weeks ago

The wipers work too. The wiper motor is a new vacuum type.

All lights and blinkers are working. Horn is working

I have some spares that come with the car.

New taillight lenses, a new fuel pump, electric schematic, books for repair and parts, bulbs, and some other goodies
