The ’69 Road Runner didn’t change much from the ’68 model. It had new side marker lights. grill. and tail lights. This was also the first year for the bucket seats and console option. The one we have for you has had a complete frame off resto that was pulled down to the bare metal. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and driveline of the Plymouth. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. As we said it was all disassembled and then put on a rotisserie where the floors were sanded and painted to match the exterior. All the panels were fitted before paint to ensure a good fit. Everything is covered in the Ice Blue paint that shows well with a slick wet finish. It’s accented by new bumpers and other new chrome. All the stainless looks good as well as the glass. The window seals were replaced as well as the weather stripping. This Road Runner has the Air Graber hood with the Black Stripes. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” American Wheels with new tires. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the ’69. On the inside it’s all done in blue and white that complements the exterior perfectly. It has white seats with buckets up front as well as the console. The door panels are also white with the metal part of the doors painted to match the exterior. When you look at the dash it’s also done in blue with a set of under dash gauges added. Finally. we will take a look at the driveline of the Plymouth. Under the hood it is done right with the inner fenders painted to match the exterior. It has a 383 V8 with an Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb. The breather is correct to the car. It has the stock manifolds with dual exhaust. The trans is a 4 Speed with an 8 ¾ Rear End. Also it has Power Steering and 4 Wheel Drum Brakes. When you look under it all the floors look great with them being painted to match the exterior.
