1972 Pontiac LeMans GTO Clone

She was 1 OF 3438 PONTIAC LEMANS SPORT CONVERTIBLES PRODUCED IN 1972. PONTIAC DID NOT PRODUCE A GTO CONVERTIBLE IN '72. They did offer the GTO in a Coupe but dropped the GTO designation on the Convertible.

The GTO package included the Endura Front nose, TO hood & GTO fenders. This car has Bucket seats, ual exhaust, ower Front disc brakes, ir Conditioning, ower Windows and a very rare 4 way power driver's seat & In 1972 with all of these options I would bet very few ordered it this way.

This Convertible Classic was built to be a local show and go type of car. It was built to be driven and enjoyed and it is ready to go!!! This was an original Factory Air conditioned car however the system was removed at one time. You could easily add a stock A/C system and use the existing blower controls and vents to get ice cold A/C if desired.

Sitting inside this car will bring back some serious memories and the interior is show-ready just like the rest of the car. This Lemans Sport/GTO was originally ordered with the Pontiac 350 2bbl V8 power plant. This car does have a rebuilt 400 4bbl V8 under the hood. It is not the original matching numbers motor. As you can see by the badging on the body call out a 350, ut it is a 400 car.

Total mileage on this car is believed to be about 140,000 but the rebuild has less than 10K. The 400 V8 is mated to a TH 350 automatic transmission that was also rebuilt. The 15in Honeycomb wheels with factory beauty rings and center caps are in very good shape. Dash-Everything works except the in dash clock, ll light bulbs are bright.

THE INTERIOR- All newer interior, loor shift with console, raco AM/FM cassette in dash radio.
