1986 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe - Black on Tan leather - 98,4xx miles
This is a great driving 911 that I bought a few years ago. It is a California car that shows no evidence of rust and is in very nice condition. The black paint is deep and glossy. It has H4 headlamps from the '87-'89 US cars. This 911 has been very well taken care of with weekly drives of around 40 miles and a couple of 1000 mile road trips with no issues. Servicing has been done at Newport Motorsports and Truspeed Motorcars. The Porsche 915 transmission shifts smoothly and the car tracks true. The interior is in great condition as well with an Alpine stereo, ockford Fosgate speakers with custom Porsche grilles and Lloyd black floor mats. The original leather dash had typical sun warpage and was replaced with a nice one sourced from a cabriolet. The parcel shelf has been re-wrapped in high quality Nappa leather. Seats have a light patina with no rips or tears. Sunroof works perfectly. Wheels are 7" Fuchs in the front and 8" Euromeisters in the rear on Hankook RS-3 tires with plenty of tread. Included are a full set or records going back to 1990, ooks, ool kit, nd Porsche compressor. This 911 currently has California Historic license plates.
Due to the relatively cool climate that the car has been in, he A/C belt was removed by the previous owner and I haven't reinstalled it so I cannot verify that the A/C works. All of the A/C equipment is present in the car except for the belt. The body is extremely straight with no door or fender dents visible. There is a very small dent near the sunroof on the passenger side and on the passenger side rocker panel towards the rear (please see photos). Like the majority of air-cooled 911s, he engine does leave behind a drop or two of oil after a long drive and I believe this is coming from the left valve cover gasket and possibly the rear crank seal. I have already addressed some other typical leak areas that you can see in the list below:
Recent work includes:
Overall this is a great 911 that is sure to continue to appreciate in the future.
