1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe
We took this Porsche in on trade here at Speed Sports. It had been sitting for some time. The prior owner had it in storage for many years, and like many projects, never had the time to finish. It is a factoryappearance package with front and rear spoilers and power seats. We went through the process of getting it road worthy once again. First we took the entire fuel system out, from the tank to the fuel injectors, all were replaced, cleaned or rebuilt. We did a tune up on the engine, adjusted the valves, and did the basic resealing of the engine, including RMS, to make it leak free. The clutch was replaced and flywheel resurfaced. We replaced many of the hoses and sensors as well. Next was the brake system, new calipers in the front as well as the master cylinder, all new padsand brake lineswere installed at this time. Both axles had the CV joint boots replaced and of course a new battery was put in. New DME relay ( the reason I think the car sat for so long...). The rear shocks were replaced with Bilstien HD units. The car came with cashmere silvernet carpet, which was past its useful life, so we replaced it with black silvernet for a better contrast. Also a Momo Prototipo wheel was installed for a sporty look. All the gauges work properly and read correctly. It has its original Fuchs wheels that have been refreshed with brand new tires installed. Another item we took care of is all the shift linkage and bushings. Now it shifts great up, down and is smooth. The paint is in good condition for a driver. Dash has a crack in it, but it’s not bad. This car was a AC car, but the belt is not on the compressor and it is missing the front condenser. From the looks of it, a front pan was put in from battery damage some time ago. The cars doors open close with that classic Porsche sound. In all I spent over $6000getting it ready. This car is the perfect Porsche for someone that wants a 3.2 Carrera to drive and have lots of fun with. Lots of fun miles left in this one.
We buy and sell lots of Classic Porsche 911’s, Please feel free to ask any questions or quotes for shipping.
