I recently purchased this Porsche 914 from a retired aircraft mechanic that took meticulous care of the car and kept complete records. He replaced some of the OEM switches with aircraft type rocker switches and wired the engine to start with a toggle and a button just like a plane. Car was recently painted Porsche Red which is not the OEM color so body is near immaculate except for one ding by windshield and the windshield has a crack. Car is 43 years old so not perfect; but with the engine rebuild, rans and trans-axles recently being gone through, ew starter, uel pump and brakes there are receipts for almost $6k. This car was a daily driver. Fuel injection has been replaced with Weber carburetor.
I literally just bought the car in Oregon last week and had the car transported to San Diego; it had been a California car most of its life. The car is everything I wanted it to be but I realize that with my recent neck surgery due to a car accident; I just can't get into or out of the car comfortably
I looked high and low for this car; most are rust buckets or priced over $10,000. Not looking to get rich, ust my money out of it. Car will come with a clean Oregon Title in the previous owners name.
Come with receipts, love Box Repair Manual with handwritten notes of repair history and a box of parts including original ignition with keys.
