Vehicle Overview 1976 Porsche 911S 2.7L Coupe
Chassis No. 9116202050
Engine No. 6462254
Numbers-Matching 911S as per Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
Strong Compression on the Engine with Excellent Power
Low Production Model in Desirable (Non-Sunroof) Coupe Configuration
Delivered New in Stunning Bitter Chocolate Brown over Cinnamon & Tartan Upholstery The transitional years of the mid-1970s 911 offered a few significant changes for the model, ncluding a 2687cc engine with K-Jetronic CIS Bosch fuel injection and slightly reconfigured bodywork. The naturally aspirated 911 and S models retained beautiful narrow rear arches of the old 2.4L, hile running a detuned version of the RS engine.
Completed in June of 1976, his S optioned coupe was equipped to US specifications with upgraded Koni shocks, TS cookie cutter wheels, -speed manual transmission and a very striking upholstery combination. 9116202050 was delivered new in Bitter Chocolate Brown (T3) paintwork over Cinnamon Leatherette upholstery with Tartan Inlays (37). The car received an exterior color change many years ago, hile the majority of its cabin's upholstery remains original, s does much of its trim and mechanical components.
Its numbers-matching 2.7L motor pulls quickly with plenty of power, hile a recent compression test confirmed an even and consistent compression average of 146psi. The cosmetics have aged and the paint shows imperfections along with the original interior so the car can be best described as a "driver" and not a show car but none the less can provide a great platform for someone looking for a solid 911 to tinker with, ackdate it, r to just have as a weekend driver. Bitter Chocolate, innamon and Green Tartan in much opinion is one of the most stunning period liveries Porsche produced. Just pulled from storage and ready to be revived, e encourage you to "look past the dust", s they say, o the loads of potential this solid 911S holds.
