For sale is my 2006 Porsche 911 C2S. A very clean car that has been incredibly reliable and will be into the future. I'm selling only due to increasing interest in older 911s and classics.
The only modifications made to the car are the steering wheel and the keys. I used Dallas Custom Wheel to do an alcantara wrap with slight extra padding. This adds to the sport feel and has been a very nice change. I upgraded the stock keys to a 997.2 style key, which is much more robust than the standard 997.1 keys.
I have maintenance records on the car and a recent service was the 40,000 mile interval (Beasley Porsche/ Austin TX), which included a complete plug change and full maintenance. The maintenance was done based on years, not mileage, at about 30,000 miles. The car has a southern history and spent most of it's life in FL and Texas. The clean car fax report details the history of 1 year in Maine, where it was sold new, one year in Fl, and 7 years in Austn TX, which is where I bought the car from. I installed a new air filter and changed the oil only a short time ago. I opted for Joe Gibbs Driven DT-40 for oil. This is the preferred brand by many enthusiasts and it seemed the best choice. Air conditioning runs very cold, no issues. Brakes are original and show no indication of needing replacement, as the indicator light would illuminate. I assume brake pads will be needed in the coming 10,000 or so.
A complete joy to drive and very stable, straight at speed. The comfort leather seats were an upgraded option, along with the 19in Carerra Classic wheels and Bose high end sound. The color is very unique and it is hard to capture on camera. Carmon Red Metallic is the color name and it was only used for a relatively short run. I have the original window sticker, which was laminated and saved. The car has the 'painted model designation' option, which is self explanatory. I wasn't a fan of this at first, but it's quite unique and interesting looking on the car.
The six speed manual transmission has the factory sport shift upgrade which makes the throw very short and each gear notches in well. The car doesn't have navigation. There is a relatively easy upgrade to blue-tooth that I've been considering, but never got around to. The body is in overall very clean and good shape. The only imperfection is the stone chips on the chin and hood, commensurate with mileage and a minor ding at the rear right quarter. It's not visible in the pictures, but for full disclosure, it's there. Pirrelli P Zero tires are only about 5,000 miles into their life. The car has never been tracked and has been responsibly owned. Title in hand with no encumbrance.
I'll respond to any questions on a daily basis. Car is listed locally as well and I reserve the right to end the listing early. The 997C2S is a great value at current prices. A naturally aspirated 911 coupe with a manual transmission is a car that will never disappoint and can be enjoyed for many years with less depreciation/ maintenance than most sports cars.
