1 of 606 LHD Carrera 3.0 Coupes built in 1976. For those unaware of the Carrera 3.0, it is a ROW (rest of world) performance version of the 911 that replaced the 1974-1975 Euro Carrera 2.7 which itself had replaced the 1973 911 RS.
FEATURESRare sunroof delete, factory alarm, driver sport seat, rear wiper, and Fuchs wheels.SSI exhaust added for reliability/performance.
Number's matching (original engine, transmission) with Porsche COA.
Original rare plaid interior as delivered by the Porsche factory.Factory tools, books, records, air compressor and spare tire.
HISTORY & CONDITIONI purchased this car in 2012 from its first US owner who purchased the car from its German owner in Dusseldorf 30 years ago.
Since the paint was faded, I had the car stripped to bare metal and all body panels inspected for rust (none found) and resprayed by a Porsche body shop to its original black color. I spent over $40K (receipts available) for a full mechanical restoration.Original 930/02 engine (#6660982) and 915 transmission -- both fully rebuilt including high performance pistons from Jeff Gamroth (Rothsport) to original Carrera 3.0 specification and matched to the heads. Lightened flywheel, crank was crack tested and polished, powder coated engine tin, Bosch H4 headlamps, rear wiper, and nut & bolt disassembly/assembly as part of mechanical restoration.
No oil leaks, very fast, and ready to enjoy for years to come.I've owned a 964RS and 993RS and this car feels as fast as either of them.
BID WITH CONFIDENCEI've been on eBay 16 years with 100% Positive feedback, 20-year Porsche Club of America member, and long-time vintage car collector/racer.
Partial trades considered (in particular, I am looking for a red Alfa 4C and Airstream Flying Cloud 28' trailer).
